Buying a New Z (Couple Questions)
So Im new to the site and will hopefully be buying my first 350z on Saturday. Im coming from a STi which I loved but I love the Z more...lol. I had a couple of quick questions, the Z that I am looking at is a 2005 35th Anniversary Edition with 17k on the odometer and the place wants around 26k for it. I looked over the whole car, car faxed it and test drove it and everything seemed perfect ( Minus it not having Nav. Installed LOL). Does that seem like a decent deal to you guys? Also the Z has the Brembo Brakes which I assume were factory option...and it also has the rev it up motor since its the 35 anniversary (please correct me if Im wrong as I am still a noob). I have done good research on all the models and motors and years and found this to be the best choice for me. One last thing is there anything in particular that I should look for when I go to make the purchase and do you think I can get the dealership to install the OEM Navigation and just tak it onto the price of the car?
Thanks for your help in advance,
Jimmy

IMHO, at $26K is not bad, but if you get it at around $25K, even better, no? The enthusiast wouldn't have the Brembos and still would not be a 35th anniv unit, so is not an exact compare. Yes, the Brembos are factory.
Watch for at 19K
- check the tires well. If mildly worn, maybe a reason to drop price some, if badly worn, ask for new tires and alignment (not that I trust the alignment at the dealer, but they have a chance to get it right) A set of tires outside can cost you up to $800, so not a minor thing.
- make sure the tranny feels good, shifting
At 19K, depending on the driving habits of the prev owner you might end up spending on a set of brake pads. If you get the car, check the pads. If worn, get after market ones (low dust) and you will be MUCH happier. They are cheap.

Do you know how long it's been on the lot? I was checking out a 05' Anni. Ed. with 21k auto and they eventually dropped the asking price from 27k to 23.3k. It was at a ford dealership and I'm sure they would gone down a little bit more just to get rid of it.
I ended up getting an 05 touring auto with 33k for 19k.
As for the navi, avic-d3 is a popular choice if you don't want to spend too much.

Thanks for all the help and replys....Hopefully I can bring the dealer down alittle but if not hey its still a good buy....I will def. check the Tires and the Brake Pads. As for shifting it felt as good as my friends 06' Z that I drove and he babys that thing.
Thanks again for all the helpful posts. Im gonna also see if they cant come down on the price if they might throw some stuff in to sweeten the deal. Navi Install, Free Oil changes...ETc....Who knows...

Jimmy, adding the Navy is not trivial. If it didn't have it from factory, forget it. It is easier for them to install an after market one for you than the OEM one, believe it or not. Just FYI.
Slaponte,
Thanks for the info. I was just wondering since I know when my dad got his truck it didnt have Navi. and Ford jumped at the chance to install an OEM one for him so I was just wondering. I might just get them to install the AVIC - D3 or something.
