That's it, Vic. EVO says it very plainly there are 3 underbody aero diffusers on the Track model. I've read it in other mags too.

I believe the diffuser VQ is referring is definitely not the one stock on the Track (I wish ) I was actually wondering why the one in that GT pic isn't listed. They show that one very prominently with that picture, but there is nothing else that makes reference to it. That diffuser is very similar to the style used on the JGTC NSX, amongst others.

On another note, I wonder if NISMO is trying to say that the aero kit was wind tunnel tested/designed with this pic:

<img src="http://www.nismo.co.jp/catalogue/z33/image/6-5.jpg" border="0" alt="">

That would make me have to think long and hard about not getting that kit, if it were. I would really like to know what the trade offs are between the Track setup and the NISMO aero kit. I guess I'll just have to wait. Hopefully NISMO USA will give us that kind of data. If I was marketing performance parts, I would make sure that as much technical and semi-technical data as possible was available as soon as the parts were, if not before. Unfortunately, Marketing and Research don't always talk about this stuff. Oh, well...sorry about that spiel.

Nice work VQ. While we still have to wait for the performance parts, these pictures certainly wet the appetite. How about the Bilsteins? I drove the new Miata with and without the factory Bilsteins. Even my wife preferred the Bilsteins and she didn't even know they were there. She just said "I like the way the Yellow car rides compared to the Silver car."

I like seeing that Nismo has a good selection of parts already, but those prices better come down before they get to the US or I will be looking elsewhere for parts. $1500 for a muffler and $700 for an air filter is just insane. I'd hate to see what they'd charge for a supercharger or turbo kit. It would probably be more than the car!

Does anyone think the NisMo Aero Kit is paintable? I'd rather it matched the color of the car, although it looks nice in black with the silver...

I think you nailed it. I see 2 diffusers on 1/2 of the car, the cutout, and I assume there will be an identical diffuser under the non-cutout part of the car. That adds up to 3 which is what the mags have reported. Anybody spot a price on these anywhere in NISMO?

Boomer--thanks for the pic, it helps a lot guys. Maybe some of the others who got the US Areo Kit on other than the Track model will be interested, too.

Here's another question; since these are NisMo parts, presumably to be installed by the dealer, if I were to request these parts when I receive my Z, would their cost be "financed in" with the rest of the car? If so, I might just get $4000 worth of parts and add another $60/month to the cost of the car.

Thumbs up VQ --- very nice

Very, very nice summary. Just a few comments..

1/ The floor mats contain 2 types... sports at $252.17 which are meant for better footwork and luxury at $193.33 which are fuller and deeper pile carpets.

2/ Under the storage items... ETC.. as I posted before.. these are "electronic toll collectors" for the expressways in Japan that all have tolls -- and expensive.

3/ Under the cargo net at $37.83... is the $118.00 option for mesh-like tinting for the rear and rear-side windows.

4/ Unter the auto tilting reverse mirror... are the car security systems... the more expensive one is the ultra sound system that will sound if somebody starts playing with something.. and the less expensive system that goes off if somebody tries to go in through the doors.

5/ The side mirrors also come with a special "titanium" finish... and "titanium heated" option.

Comment in a magazine that I just bought -- regarding the NISMO options... more to come - including computer mods !!

I plan to add in any tire switch I do, so you should be able to add in parts from NISMO. However, it will depend on your dealer and if they will just add them in as ordinary options. Remember, you could still back out of the deal when the cars come in and they might feel its too much of a risk. On the other hand, if you pay for the option pkg with the car when you pick it up and with the stipulation NISMO parts are part of the contract price, it might work or you could wait for months before you can have the parts.

I would talk to the dealer and see what their take on this is. I ordered air conditioning on my 68 Fiat 124 Spyder and it never came in; I ended up getting my money back minus what the dealer profit on the deal was. If the dealer lets you do it, I would make sure the dealer adds in installation fees only.

Boomer--unsure its a good idea; talk to both the dealer and NNA financial services about it .too. I know, we have had some bad experiences with Customer Services but, they should be able to steer you to the financial people.

Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

Default couple more things....

1. Regarding the Bilstein suspension....and the Potenza S-03 Pole Position tires -

The tires are not included together with the Bilstein sports suspension. But get this... the option catalog states that to get optimal handling from the Bilstein setup... these tires are recommended.

2. Note from NISMO option catalog states that... the NISMO parts were developed to be functional -- not just a dress-up kit.

3. With the NISMO body setup, down force goes from zero to negative. How much is not stated.

fairladyZ-

When you say "down force goes from zero to negative," did you mean lift goes from zero to negative. A negative down force might be kind of scary, not to mention counter productive.

Just wondering...

Default articfury....

You are correct... I meant "lift" when I wrote that post at 12:30AM -- and the words were not coming out smoothly.
