Default Advice Buying 06 from Private Party - Oil Consumption Check?

I am thinking about getting this 06 Z 6spd base from private party 18k miles. How can I can check if the car has oil consumption problem?
What's the market price for this 06 base 6 spd? 20-21k fair enough?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Henry

Well you really can't check for the oil consumption problem without putting some miles on the car and checking the oil.

Your price seems about right.

I think nissan has a fix for oil consuming cars now though so if it is you might have to deal with a dealer for a while but they can fix it at least.

Thanks .. Glad that the dealer has a fix at least.

Just wondering if you can tell by looking at the exhaust if the car has oil consumption prob? (ex. dark, dirty - in the inside exhaust tip)

either oil consumption or a bad leak...either way...get to the dealer ASAP to have it checked.
