Hey guys, been lurking the forum for awhile now and actually became a member pretty recently. I'm currently stationed @ Keesler AFB, MS however will be going home to Texas (College Station) for Christmas to buy my Z and have a question. I was curious to see how many of you ordered your vehicle through a dealer in order to get all the specifics right and how your experience was. Did you pay more than you would have buying off the lot? Looking to negotiate via internet and over the phone. thanks.

 

Going through the internet sales dept is the best way to go. You'll pay less.

 

I ordered mine from the dealer. Basically we built the car on paper and then negotiated the price. I paid about $1k-$2k over dealer cost.

 

I ordered mine due to several reasons: A) they didnt have the color I wanted (daytona blue) and B) they only had 2-GT models (wasnt paying 35k+). Got a good deal on it also. If I'm buying new, I'm getting it exactly how I want it.

 

Price a special order the same as you would a 350Z on the lot.
List your needs.
Determine what you are willing to pay.
Make an offer.

BTW isn't it too late to order a 2007?
