Have had an 07 now for exactly 2 weeks. I look in the back for the first time and I find a New Vehicle Delivery System Checklist. It has the model and VIN, technician name and signature and just about every box checked off with a yes (circle). When I got the car I was pissed because they drilled holes in the front bumper and put on a plate frame without the plate(out of state purchase), which I didn't want done. Also when I took off the plate frame today the bumper is scratched badly where they installed the frame. The checklist states: "IMPORTANT: CONSULT WITH SALES DEPARTMENT, install front license plate mounting hardware/bracket at CUSTOMER request. Otherwise, place hardware in vehicle for future installation."
Obviously they didn't go over this with me before the purchase since I just found it today. Before I drove off the lot, I asked the guy why they put that on(wasn't on before I signed the papers). He said "because your state requires a front plate."
Is there anything I can do, or anyone I can call to have them replace the bumper since they screwed up? The pre-delivery checklist also has a spot for me to sign which obviously I didn't.
thx for any help

Did they go over this checklist with you before you took delivery? When I bought mine, they let me visually inspect the vehicle before signing any "release" papers. I was asking for the same things: no holes drilled (not required anyways in PA) and no dealer stickers/decals.
I hate to say it, but you may be sol on this one. Its worth a shot by calling your sales manager back up and seeing what they can do, but this should have been something you checked before taking the keys.

The checklist was not brought up and I had not heard of it until today when I found it. I wish I knew there was such a list because I would not have taken delivery. That is the whole reason I thought I could get this repaired for free.
I guess I could get bumperplugs but what about the gouges taken out of the bumper from the frame? Touch up paint will look like crap.
The sales manager is never there and hasn't returned any of my calls today.
I guess I'll have to eat this one.

Well, I drove the 100 miles to get to the dealer yesterday. I talked to one of the 17 managers on duty and showed him the unsigned checklist and told him I was unhappy with the purchase. He looked more amused than amazed that it wasn't filled out correctly. He took it to the finance officer and she looked at the car and said yes they should not have drilled holes in the bumper if I didn't want it done and the salesman was supposed to fill out the checklist and have me sign. That was the last time I saw the checklist. She hid it from me.
Anyway, Car is going into the body shop next monday and they are giving me a loaner for the day. Now I need my local dealer to replace the clutch, the throw out bearing is ridiculously loud when not engaged.

Glad they worked it out for you. As for the throwout bearing...thats normal
Does it only make the noise when the clutch is engaged and out of gear? If you disengage the clutch, does it go away? If so, many owners (if not all) have had this problem.
If your dealer is somehow able to fix it, by all means please let me know!!!
I just assumed that it was a trait of the Z.
