There's a 03 Z for sale in my area with 64k miles for $15,900. I ran a Carfax report on it, and saw this:

I know about issues with tire feathering on the 03's. Is this carfax report indicative of that problem being repaired, or is something more dubious afoot

Could be, but i would be more worried about making sure that it wasn't leased. God knows how the owner drove the car if it was a leased vehicle.

It was, in fact, leased. I'm going over there today to give it a look over.

Reports such as carfax are seldom complete. The vehicle was never titled. So yes I assume it is a lease.

 

Yea, this particular report is only current up to February of this year, and reported 52k miles. Also, the snippet I posted was from the first owner. Since then, there have been 2 others. A minor collision was reported with the 2nd owner, no issues with the 3rd.

I'll update the post with more information once I get a look at the car later today.
