Default What would your offer be on this:

Hello all, im shopping for a Z and im pretty picky as far as the condition it has to be in. I recently found a 03 with supposedly 11k miles on it. Ive already looked at it, and driven it, and it is almost perfect.

Here is the autotrader ad, if you were in the market, what would you offer? Whats a reasonable yet realistic price for this? Im not in a hurry enough to jump on the first car i see, but i do need something soon. Thanks!!

03 - 11k miles - Asking 19,995

Oh, and how difficult would it be to change the Odo milage on these cars? Seems really low...

Maybe it's just a weekend toy, thus the low milage. If it looks and drives good, what's $30 bucks when you're spending close to $20k?

11,000 miles on a 2003 is possible. There are plenty of garage queens around. But just to be safe run a CarFax.

17000. my karpower KBB (dealership kbb) says its worth 17500. im sure they took it in for around 15k since its an acura dealership. offer them the 17k and go from there. Retail book for this car is 21800

Hmm, ok thanks everyone for the replys. I dont know what im going to do. After seeing everything in my area, i actually think i want the car, as it is super clean. Initially i was thinking that i would rather buy a 04/05 with more miles for the same cost, and have something a little bit newer, but whats the point when this has was less miles. So now im kinda leaning toward Miles > Year on the importance scale.

They are trying to be sticky on the car's price, so i think realisitcally if it did happen it would be around 18 or 18.5, i dont think i would want to spend more than that on a 03. But that really sucks thinking about spending 18k on a car that is 5 years old already.

Ugh...i duno what to do. I really would like to spend less on an 03.

This sucks, i hate car shopping.

I will agree with you. A 2003 with 11,000 miles is a better idea than a 2004 with 22,000 miles. The miles are more significant than the model year.

Welp, I offered 17, they said 17.6 + Tax/tag/title/dealerfee

I said im not paying dealer fees, and ill do 18.7 out the door, which i think is pretty good.

Ive never spent this much money on anything before, this is very stressfull.

Ugh

Still unsure what to do, but i think i will probably do it.

Someone tell me its ok! lol

True.

Some members are able to spend $35,000 cash without blinking an eye. For others $15,000 brings stress. Think about this: the 350Z is foolish transportation. Its an emotional purchase. Sometimes its necessary to throw caution to the wind and go for it.
