Default Too good to be true?

I recently started looking into a 2008 Z enthusiast. My color choices would be either red or white. I found a dealer about an hour away with a red enthusiast in stock so I emailed for a price quote, and I was utterly shocked with the quote I got. It can't be true, can it? Or is there some incentive I don't know about? I even emailed back to confirm a couple of things and he came back with the same quote.

2008 Nogaro Red Enthusiast
MSRP $31,050
INVOICE $28,756

YOUR E-PRICE $27,985

That comes to $771 under invoice. I know it is winter here in Wisconsin, but that still seems awfully low. I'm debating if I should make the hour drive to take a look at it.

My car came from Texas. I think that deal is definitely worth an hour drive.

edmunds does not currently list any rebates / incentives / marketing support for the Z. Remember that there is also holdback on this vehicle, which amounts to probably 2% of MSRP or 3% of invoice. (Goes to get calculator.) Which would be about $863. I would certainly go look at this car; seems like they're giving away most of holdback to sell it to you.

Good luck.

$30K in Wisconsin can get you half a house.

^^^Yeah, but just remember, wages in Wisconsin are also adjusted accordingly, so it's not as good as it seems. Look up national average salaries for any popular career field and you'll see Wisconsin is usually well below the national average. Some also know this state as "tax hell". I think I will look at the car, probably next weekend. If all goes well, I may have a new Z soon. Just wish this damn snow would stop!
