Default What is my 2006 Base worth?

Hi Guys-

I have a mint condition 2006 Magentic Black Base 6-speed with only 13k miles. I've had it up on Autotrader for a while but I'm not really getting any serious bites for it. Its never ever been in any type of accident or had any paintwork done to it. No dings, no scratches, nothing. Seriously, even the inside still smells new. I've had it listed at $24, 000 but honestly no takers. I'm in so cal if that effects the pricing any.

20k to 22k. I sold my 06 enthusiast last may with 7000 miles for 27k. They depreciate quickly

Its worth exactly what the buyer is willing to pay for it. Not a penny more. Not a penny less.

Its a cash problem. A buyer can walk into a dealer, put $1,000 down, and walk out with a new Z. Buying from a private seller is different. The buyer must find $24,000 on his own. So essentially the buyer looks at it this way:

2006 for $24,000
or 2008 for $1,000?

That should do it. The weather is also a factor. People buy sports cars in the spring.

Let me know if you have an offer ASAP, because due to circumstance this car goes to the dealer soon unfortunately.

Add/ pics in marketplace - cars for sale.

Dude, you are WAY off. For that price, one can get a 2007 new left over that is equipped with a much better HR engine. I did search on edmunds and your's worth $20K, $21K is a stretch.

I would say go to the dealer, nobody is going to pay $22K for your car. If you do trade-in you get tax credit, which puts you $1000+ ahead depending on where you live. Just to cover all basis, go to carmax, too. They make a pretty decent offer, but I doubt they make more than $21K+ offer to beat the dealer's offer for your car.

+1.

CarsDirect is selling new 08 base Z for 26,500 in my area. I wouldn't even touch a used 07 base for more than 22,000, which means your 06 base without the VQ35HR can't sell for more than 19,000 (even less if the buyer is aware of the prevalence of oil consumption problems in the Rev-Up motors).

I bought my 06 base for $25,000 with 8 miles on it on 08/06 so I doubt you could get $24,000 for yours.

According to a local CHEVY dealership, my 2006 base with 42k miles was only worth $16,000 on a trade in for a Corvette (NADA). My car is "mint" as well.

$24k is way too much. Most people would just opt to go to the dealer. You'd have a better chance listing it at the 20-22k range.

For 24k, people would just opt to go to the dealer for a new 2008 base Z, not even a used Z. They'd go to the dealer for a used 2007 base Z if the price is around 20-22k.
