OP, When I traded my Z for my Evo IX, my insurance dropped.
Find yourself a used '07 Enthusiast if you're planning on buying used.
Pics of your Evo? I know several people looking for IX's right now.

Your insurance dropped? That's crazy talk. It is significantly cheaper for me to drive an SRT-10 ram than the evo. Insurance on my M3 is nothing compared to the evo. I quoted the Z at around 100 less per month! Wow, what state are you in?
Here are some shots of my evo, perfectly stock-like on the outside.

Here is the most recent interior pic I have, some panels are off but everything is in perfect condition.

I bought my Evo in VA and I live in Hawaii now. My premium dropped by ~$100. It's considered a 4-door "family sedan" by my insurance company... lol.

could it be that the people w/ problems are always more noticeable then people without problems?
i mean its cool to be safe, but thats like saying youre not gonna leave the house today kus you dont wanna get in a car wreck.
Before I purchased it, I quoted the STI around 380 more for me and the EVO a little north of 500. I thought about the 4 door family sedan thing, but the insurance companies know better. I thought it might be like insuring a Lancer (wrong). Also it has as good of a crash rating as an inner-tube.

Here are a few, http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...sfyc=&systime=
Not to mention the multitude of 07's for low 20's forsale on this site.
^ yup. I have had no problem finding a Z. I have noticed they are generally well kept/serviced/garaged. Reasonably priced, and typically not to modded. In the evo world you find either a crazy price, a car on it's deathbed, salvage title, or un-reliable modifications. It's rather pleasant looking through all of the Z's in my area.

I am going to buy a white 04 Touring in perfect condition w/ white leather ect.
Drive it for a week, then throw on some Coilovers and my Evo's stock BBS rims. They are the same bolt pattern just 10mm offset difference. Drive that for a while longer. Then pull the engine. Anything in particular about the 04's I should know about?
Thanks for the suggestions/help guys.

Also a car that cheap thats only 1 year old might have some sort of problem. Such as an accident. Remember you get what you pay for. I would say that a base 07 with low miles and flawless=no dents, dings, or scratches sells here for 25k-27k.For the low 20's your looking at an 06 model. The one dealer in Tampa selling the 07 Touring has an 04for the same price and an 05 in the same price range. Trust me when you get there it will be sold or they will tell you that's a typo.

I have found plenty of used 07's but most for the 23-25k range already have high mileage and are base models. If I am 100% building the motor anyway, I would rather go with an older model with less miles (yup) and all of the options for 18-22k.
