Default 2004 G35 or 2006 350z??

Hey guys...I have the opportunity to buy either of the following:

2004 G35 Coupe
6MT
Blk/Blk
17k miles
Premium Package
$21,500

or

2006 350z Coupe
6MT
White/Blk
16k miles
Base
$20,000

Obviously most owners here are Z owners but I was hoping to get an unbiased opinion if possible

What trim is the Z? I'd probably pick the G though.

Didn't you own a G35? What happened to it?

Personally, I'd go with the G. $1500 more you get the premium package and no risk of oil consumption problems down the road. And black on black :drool

The answer depends upon whether or not you plan to customize the vehicle. The 350z Base model is a great “palette” for adding aftermarket products. If that’s your plan, go with the Z.

If you want to keep the car stock, the G35 (in the case you present) is a much better buy.

The only thing I will do for sure to the car (which ever one I chose) will be to lower it...

The problem I have is that I usually sell the car a drive within a year or two...which would you guys say would have the better resale value down the road

Keep in mind the 04 has brembos which some feel is very desirable...and the Z is well, 2 years newer..

I'd be too worried about oil consumption issues, so G it is between those 2.
