Default Car Dealership sold my car

So basically it went like this..
I put a deposit down on a 350Z for the dealership to hold it for me when i was flying down on tuesday to get it. Then yesterday, the dealership calls me and tells me that another person sold the car without permission and theres nothing they can do. I'm taking it to court as i've already called the D.A.

This is the 3rd time i've been screwed over the past 2 weeks. Not to mention the airline tickets put to waste again for the 2nd time as I just went to FLA last week to look at a POS bad condition Z.
any ideas?

Aren't there any Z's closer in your area so you don't need to fly to another state to get one?

Did you have a signed contract? If not, you're wasting your time.

They accepted deposit so they are now in a contract, no paperwork needed. Deposit back + loss of any other outlay is all you will get I think... Best to try and reason with them rather than taking it to court...

Wow. I am confused. I have been negotiating a number of Zs in
the Carolina's for myself and friends. They are often better than
Zs I find in FL. I'm gonna have to call you out. Pricing is better in
NC too. You clearly don't understand how to locate a good car.

So you fly across two states to buy a Z? I cant believe there are NO z33's in your area, that just doesnt make sense. Why dont you go to a dealership and have them get a Z shipped to them? Shipping charge is only about $500, depending, and I'm sure it beats two-way airline tickets.

Um...isn't that what car dealerships do--sell cars? Just kidding, but yeah that sucks and I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I don't see how taking them to court would make your situation any better. Personally, I would cut my losses by getting my money back, bad-mouthing their business, then finally getting the Z somewhere else. Good luck.

So why are people in this thread making assh*le comments and taking it off-topic by calling him out on his car-finding-technique?
