2007 350Z Touring - Price Check
Hi guys, I'm looking to purchase a 2007 350Z Touring Solar Orange from the dealership.
It's about 16,000/17,000 miles, one owner.
At best, they can let it go at $23,985 before taxes/fees/etc.
I believe with tax (5% Mississippi) and fees, it's approximately $25,540-$25,570.
Not sure what it means, but they guy said it is certified; however, it does not come with any extra warranty except for the manufacturer's normal 36k/3 years--60k/5 year warranty.
What you guys think of this deal?
------------
Also, I'm not sure but wouldn't it be better to buy a car from a private owner instead of dealership since you wouldn't have to pay the taxes?
I.E. If I went to buy the same car from a private owner for $23,985 instead of the dealership.
I've always been confused on this situation.
Thanks for the help.

Seems like a good price to me. You see '07 base and enthusiast models asking almost that much. I'm pretty sure you'd have to pay taxes on a private sale when you register the car at the DMV unless your state has different rules than most.
what he said ^ ... there isn't a way to get out of paying taxes ... if you do, then you'll end up seeing Wesley Snipes as ur Jail buddy
... on the topic, what I have seen people do is claim a little less than traded price (i.e. if the car was sold at 24000, you can write 20K or 18K as a price and save some money on taxes ) ... You can't really go too low because they check Kbb .... if you show lets say 15K on a 24K car, they'll send u a "tell us why" letter where you need to tell them why it's so low and if it needed repairs(body work), seller needs to sign that paper .... umm yeah..just pay the taxes.... someone who can afford a Z, couple hundred dollars isn't a big deal
