Talking Buying an '03 Today

Yep..todays the day I'm trading up from the '93 import car of the year to the 03 car of the year. Getting the Chrome Track. Any tips for me before I get to the dealership?

Congrats.

I don't remember what was the 93 Import car of the year? The only good sports cars that were realeased that year was the RX-7 or maybe the integra.

Call them up and tell them not to drill holes in your front bumper.

Roll the window up and down about 10 times and see if there are any grease streakes. If there is, make a scene and tell them they will need to lower the price!

Default Congratulations !

Tell the salesman not to put dealership decals, or any other dealership advertisement on your Z!

Don’t forget to keep it under 4,000 RPMS!

Enjoy!

To me, the main thing to do is to have them put it in the alignment rack, verify precisely it is aligned and print you a report.

I have lived with the grease and don't find it so annoying, I also live with the BOSE and some squeeks....

But the tire feathering ate my front ones all the way...

Ask to be included in the "prefered customer" program. Free enrollment and free oil changes....

Make sure you give the dealers some hell! I went in to the dealership today too and was expecting to just look around, but ended up leaving the place as a proud new owner of a Silverstone Enthusiast.

Anywayz, by me saying "give 'em hell" I'm just saying that you shouldn't let up on negotiating until you get a price you are happy with. I know this sounds ridiculously obvious, but the price I wanted seemed way too low for what the dealership was willing to dip down to. Regardless, my parents helped me push an extra $2200 in the value of my trade in (for a total of $10,000) along with an additional $1000 off the MSRP... for a grand total of a ridiculously low $18,725.

Give the dealers some hell!

When do the dealerships drill holes in the front bumper? when it is sold or when it first came off the boat?

Depends on the dealer. Mine said they never do unless the customer request it. We dont have a front plate law here in La so mine is still virgin.

What gguf said. Keep in mind that there will still be little dimples on the front.
