Soon to be Z Owner
Ok, so I been looking and doing my research, and I'm at a cross on a few things:
1. Coupe vs Convertible - My main thing is the performance issue at hand, such as at high speeds. And do people find themselves always dropping the top for those with the converts? I heard there is a 370Z coming out....will that have a hardtop convertible? If so I will almost gladly wait.
2. Brembo vs No Brembo - Is the diff that noticeable? And should I not get the touring, how much does it run normally and is it cheaper?
3. Which trim comes with the rays forged wheels? I've seen them on a grand and a performance, but they were in a parking lot, and i didnt have time to wait on the owners.

[1] Performance wise, get a coupe. No convertible 370 announced yet but chances are they will make one eventually.
[2] You will see no benefit from the brembos on the street. If you plan to track the car at all they would be a very important upgrade.
[3] All 2006+ wheels are rays forged.

Hardtop = more performance and better looks IMO. Pretty sure they won't make a hardtop convert for the 370z cause it would be SO heavy.
Brembos would be nice, I but choose leather instead, unless you want a grand touring and can have both.
I believe only the track models, grand touring and Nismos have forged wheels.

Wait a min, I'm confused. Grand Touring has both, and Touring has just the leather right? Or is it the other way around? Thanks for letting me know about the forged wheels being 06 and up. Guess the 03-05 models in my search results are out.

Ok, well looks like I'm narrowed down to a coupe in either grand touring or track edition. Does track come with leather as well? I really prefer cloth but if I have to get it I don't mind.
Thanks for the link david, looks like I want either of an 05-08 Track or Grand Touring Coupe. Now I just have to wait for one to appear on the forum in black that I like. Or who knows, the right mods might move me.
Just noticed you are local. Check in here once you get a Z, or if you want to

Thanks but I've already been checking out ZOHR. Sorry, don't want a red 350Z man, black only. Why sell it? I just joined the Army and that's the reason why I get to buy my next toy. All those bonuses and you can be paid and boosted in no time.

Nah I won't have a Z till prob late Nov or early Dec. I'm trying to get into this new apartment in oct, which would be a def upgrade from the backwater one I have now. Then I will go for a new ride. But if something comes up that moves me along faster who knows.
