Default should i hope on this deal?

hi there, i recently stumble upon a 07 black 350z (manual) with about 15960 for $16,900.00. the model is an ethusiast hardtop. the only problem with it is that its salvage. im going to get more information on it later but i would like to get your opinion on the price for a salvage title vehicle thanks.

any advice on convincing the dealer to lower the price would be awesome too!

Salvage might sounds like a good idea when you are trying to buy a "deal" but will bite you in the **** when you are trying to sell. Nobody in their right mind will buy a salvage car.

thanks for the response, the dealer told me the car is salvage because when they got the car the passenger front bumper was damage. they replaced the front bumper/fender/left headlights with OEM parts. outside and inside looks perfectly new, you couldn't tell where the damage was. under the hood looks the same as any 350z. the dealer also told me that the damage was minor. i wonder why they would sell it so cheap... and about selling it, i think it's a keeper

here are some pics

you can classify a car salvaged when its a minor thing like that? idk about all that, sounds a little fishy. run the VIN and have a mechanic you trust to take a look but if i were you I wouldn't do it. you can find a better deal out there without a salvaged title.

if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is

I don't cars get salvaged if the damage is that minor...

2Viet, salvage cars usually mean that the damage done weighed more than the value of the car. Why do I know this? I bought a salvage Z. You won't find things wrong with it now but you will later.

Rockin' a salvage sports car makes me feel retarded at times, but fortunately I spent a lot of time and some cash for thorough inspections and a compression test so my Z is as good as any other Z minus the paint, some chips here and there but that's normal.

16,500 is too much man and I doubt they'll want to lower it anymore so my only suggestion would be to avoid it. It's hit or miss with these cars. You're looking for a bargain but if you can ONLY afford to buy the car then I would steer clear because you never know what's going to come up and as i've learned, Z's are pretty expensive to maintain/mod.

Salavge is usually when car repair costs more than 80% of the value of the car. IMO it's not worth it even if it's player price.
