Not surprising at all given the economic conditions. There are some serious bargains to be had out there right now. Eyeing 996 GT2s at the moment...

Learned the hard way, I got 17k for my '06 with 13k miles back in september. that's 40%+ deprecation. I will never buy another sports car new or if I can't pay cash for it. There's such a small market for them. And you know nobody believes you when you say you drove it like grandma. It's a friggin SPORTS CAR!!!

When you drove the car off the lot 14 months ago, it went from 31.5K to being worth about 24K almost instantly. A new model year release, 15K miles, poor auto sales and a recession have all conspired to eat another 3 or 4K away.

I saw a new Enthusiast this morning for $26K. The best thing you can do is hold on to the car for a few years. If you absolutely have to have a 370Z, then be prepared to take it up the a$$. You have to pay to play (with the latest toys).
just wondering about 2 months or 1 month ago people were trying to sell their 07s for about 25 or 26, maybe 23 if you were lucky so wtf is up with that

This is why I'll never buy a new car (again).

I learned my lesson buying a new 2007 Civic Si for $35k total (CDN) only a year later to sell it for $22,500

same thing occured to me only worse... i bought used to not take such a large hit, then the dealership called me since i had mentioned being interested in trading my 06X for an 08X. They completely lowballed my car to 13K (06X w/ 40k miles) when i paid about 22k in June. KBB and Edmunds both said about 18K which I thought was more reasonable.

I have an 06 and my fiance was looking on autotrader last night. She found a couple 06s for under $15,000. Some Zs were under $12k. Be prepared to see a lot of 350Zs on the road. The value went down overnight with the release of the 370Z.

I think its a temporary dip, not that the car doesn't depreciate quickly, but there are a LOT of 350 owners trying to get rid of their 350s for the 370 atm. some are more willing then others to sell below value just to get on with the transaction.

Honestly, if you have a 08 350Z, there is no point in trading in yet. I don't even see the point in trading in a 2003Z. There isn't that much more power, the interior isnt leaps and bounds better, and besides, you should wait atleast a year for nissan to work out the kinks. There are always kinks with Nissans. The most solid model now is the 2008 model that you ahve.

i was thinking of selling mine but the value sucks. edmunds says private part is only at $22,000 and i bought it brand new 8 months ago for $31,000. it only has 5000miles on it. like what the others say, i'm gonna drive it to the ground. it's modding time again.
