no way. I have an 07 enthusiant. Car is only worth 16,500 ish now kelly blue book. You will lose your shirt if you buy a car that close to MSRP.

if you can get it OTD for 32k I guess it would be good but my advise would be to look for an 07 left over and save yourself 4k ish.

i don't think so, 17-18 for 1 year old base - 15k miles + 15k in mods > Nismo

OMG What are you smoking!!!

This not BASE!! car do you understand that NISMO is not built by NISSAN it's built by Autech!! Do you understand that NISMO MSRP is $39K ???

$34 OTD is very good deal!! he is $2K under Invoice

What hell does 07 Enth have to do with 08 NISMO 350z??

And that fact he is getting car that only 1605 ever made???

$$ 34K OTD is very good deal man jump on it and be happy!! Most people on this board don't even own NISMO 350z and don't know jack about the car!!! They come on here and act like they do!!.

nismo owners are blind. they dont realize that there have been cases of them selling for 29-32k. a lot of them paid a premium for it and they don't want to admit the depreciated value. the economy is in the ******* and the 370z has made it less desirable, rare or not.

no one said that the nismo hes looking at is a base model, they are saying that if you buy an 07 base for half the cost and throw 15k in mods into it (thats enough for a TT set up done right!) it's better then a nismo, by far. I happen to agree with that mentality.

^^really? so I should go back tomorrow and get it?

I'm not really looking to mod it once I get it. If I did, I would have gotten the red base 350z. So is 34.5k out the door good or not? Cuz if its good then, I can go back tomorrow to get it.

http://www.carmax.com/enUS/view-car/...f-47ad51623ffb

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...3A1|240%3A1318

these are both from sources that you can't really negotiate the price.. they have a couple of miles on them and they are 07s, but theres virtually no difference in the 08s.

draw your own conclusions. if you are happy with the car and the price, then buy it

It sounds like the $34 K is a good price. My hesitation is (1) the economy is in the deep tank and (2) the 370z is out. We have seen some screamin' deals posted here.

My guess is you can get it lower (which I almost never say) but your gambling. if you really want that car go get it.

What will give you the biggest boast:

-Squeezing the best price at risk of someone else buying it
-Grabbing the car you really want even if you leave some $$ on the table.

I can not find a six speed enthusiast in my area...there are base and grand touring, but no enthusiasts. I will return before this month ends to pick it up if the nismo is still there...that nismo had been at that dealership for some months now...no one is buying it. Don't know why.

I'll grant you that there is a lot of difference between an 07 base and a new 08 NISMO. Also $34k otd may be a great deal for the OP if he really wants that car and has the money for it. OTOH, $34k is a lot of money for a car that is going to plummet in value in a short time. Sure, only 1605 of them have been made, and many of those have been wrapped around trees already, but I don't think that there are enough other folks that buy into the "limited edition" hype to make the premium pay-off in the long run.

Unless the OP really desires a '08 NISMO, with all it's wonerful features including that nifty certificate, he would probably do much better buying a used NISMO or even one of the used '07s that you can find around on dealer lots. Of course if he can pass on the certificate, he can get a great deal on any number of other Z's for half the $$$.

But what about the Certificate!?
