Got my 08 base 6MT for $23.5k OTD here in SoCal.

$500 down, 1.9% APR, 60 months = $400 a month (I could have done $0 down, but I wanted my payments to be as close to $400-even as I could get them, its actually $402.13).

Pretty good deal for a car that still had all the plastic all over it and only 1 mile on the odometer when I got it.

I'm having the same expericence. I'm kind of looking around for '08 enthusiasts. Since these are '08s, dealers should be willing to let them go for well below invoice + any applicable rebates, but I'm finding the best deal they seem to be willing to offer is one where they are essentially pocketing the 2500 rebate themselves. But they make you think you are getting a really great deal becasue of the rebate, when they are really offering a price that is still above invoice when you don't include the rebate. I'll let is sit a few more months if I have to. I promise nobody is buying them anytime soon and they will crack before I will. They need a sale way more than I need a new car so a dealer has absolutely no chance of winning any negotiation wars with me right now.

Well, I just got an offer acceptance of $24,000 plus $247 for DMV/doc fees from one of my other local dealers.

That would be roughly the equivalent of $22,400 in CA or WA before TTL.

Still waiting on a couple other quotes

But my girlfriend just picked up an '08 Grand Touring for $27,500 OTD. Is this a good deal?

Just got $25,000 plus TTL after the $2500 for a brand new 08 Enthusiast. I think that's the lowest I can get it down to. Gonna head over this Saturday and finalize

Looks like 24k OTD on a base 08 6spd is the best ill do around here. It's not really a stripper base though...it's got the side curtain airbags, aerodynamics package, aluminum kickplates and the DISM option (dealer-installed swirl marks) Sticker is $30,130 so that's $6,130 off MSRP

MSRP on mine was 37015, I got it for 28k or 9000+ off msrp since I got a touring, navi and airbags but I even got the 1.9% financing

I think I finally hit the jackpot. 23,577 (2,500 rebate included in price) + TTL for an '08 enthusiast, 6sp., nogaro red. 31,200 MSRP.

Might do it this weekend.

Default quote

Check this quote out......'08 enthusiast for 21,900 and 4.9% financing...that includes the 2500.00 cash back......the guy says he can also put leather in it for free......this is for a 6 speed....if i do it, i'll have to make sure it's really an enthusiast. Should i be all over this?.....What's a quick way to make sure it's not just a baseline model?

jump on it and push for the 1.9% APR unless your credit doesn't allow. get the leather BEFORE you take the car or it could be a headache and he may not fufill the promise, dealers are scumbags that will say anything to make a sale.

check if there are cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, or check for the TCS button under the left side of the steering wheel.

Hello all! Im looking to get a new 08 base 6mt for these low prices everyone is talking about on here! Now im looking at a few 08's this weekend in my area. How do i get them down to these awesome prices? Is there some site or something that confirms these low prices? The only thing i noticed when im looking at the dealers website at the car they all say make offer in the corner! Should i make them an offer?

Make them an offer. Take the total MSRP/sticker price as it appears on the window sticker and lop about $7,000 off that and you should be somewhere in "good deal land"
