I currently have an 2006 Touring MB Z 5AT with about 27k miles with title. I want to trade this car with another Z, 06 or 07 6MT. What would be the best way for me to do this?

Tried that and they will only give me 13k for my car...and they want 11k + my car for a new 08 base...

 

dealers mouths will water when you bring in this trade in idea.. but they are hurting too. let them know you are interested in making the exchange, but don't seem excited about it. see what it will cost you to make the swap and determine if it's worth it.

that would peg their value of the new 08 base at 24k? is that OTD?..

I've seen new 08 base models going for 21k prior to TTL. Work them in to chopping more cost off. Their trade in offer sucks for your car considering it's a touring.. ask them for more trade in and less cost on the new base.

 

It was 24k prior to TTL. I was thinking maybe a used one would be less. I'm still trying to look for a used one around Atlanta but most of them are base models.

 

not a big fan of base mainly due to no lsd.. you can always add one, but I've heard of some aftermarket ones not feeling as good as stock.

they are giving you BS pricing, you should be able to trade in for a little more, and they should be asking a little less on their base model. find some deals, print them out and remind them that you have many options with a lot of dealers willing to lower their prices more then they are.

 

Each of us wants a new Z every 3 years. Few of us can afford it. Poop or get off the pot.
