Thinking of 2004 Z
Back in early Jan of this year, I asked for advice on trading my Vette for a 350Z, and recieved great advice. I decided to keep my Vette and buy a used Z as a second car. My budget dictates about 15K$, so that puts me in the 2004 coupe category (I assume). Again, asking for advice on (looking for a manual tranny):
- 2004, good or bad car?
- front tire wear problem on '03 fixed for '04?
- any major problems with 2004?
- is 50,000 miles considered high for the Z?
- how much are tires for a Z? (don't need top-of-the-line)
- 15 grand for a 50Kmi 2004 too much?
- are Zs hard to work on (brakes, routine maint, etc)
Any advice and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

If you are working with a budget than stay within the budget. The Enthusiast will be less expensive than the Touring.
Plenty of members here sell clean and well kept 350Zs for $15,000.

i dont think 50000 is really high mileage...mine had 98000 when i bought it...it ran flawless...records were clean and it was well maintained...but i had a 10000$ budget, mine is an 03 perfomance model...i have seen 06's on ebay for around 15500, a local dealer had an 06 nismo for 16500, the deals are there, you just have to look

15k doesnt seem to bad..
44k on my 04 and no problems yet. I get new tires every 15k miles...a set of good tires shouldnt run you more then $450 for the set. Maintaining the car is easily done in my opinion. Pads are the only other thing that go quick.

After all was said and done, and "discussions" with my wife, I ended up trading my 2002 Corvette for a 2006 Corvette. Still love the Zs - always will, and the 370s are awesome too. Those of you who have these great cars - enjoy them. I'll have one someday!
