2005 350Z Salvaged Title
Hi All,
I don't own a 350z, yet. I've been looking into getting a salvaged 2005 black/black 6spd 350z. The car is PA, I live in NJ. The car was a theft recovery. It's missing the hood, bumper, headlights, intake, and most of the interior. The seats, steering wheel, and other trim is still there. I was wondering if it would be a good purchase? It's around 6-7K. A couple of side notes, that I've noticed when looking at the pics. The radio, HVAC and other harnesses have been cut (no connector clips). I believe that goes for the ODB2 and headlights. Also on the steering column the level to operate the headlights and blinkers is missing, but the one for the wipers is there. So it looks like its gonna be a lot of work, but it would be fun and nice project car.
Below is a link to the car:

Please let me know if it's a good purchase or gonna be a PITA.
Thanks for the help.

first off, wrong forum. second all a salvage car is good for is parts and the money it will take to get one road worthy again is goign to be close to the price paid for one that works.
HA...HA..I recognize the car.........who wants to find the thread on the guy that had that done to his car and posted it on here.......happened over night in his driveway remember??
on a side note, its not hard at all, been there, done that.........just get the FSM and follow the wire colors and start matching them up........easiest way would be to go to a junk yard and start cutting those harness ends with "pig tails" about 6 inches of wire back and match it all up.
I know i could do it no problem with all the dead Z's ive found.....including same (05) model years...
the car isnt wrecked or anything, its just re-installing parts.......oem or aftermarket......easy...
for a 6-7k price, i would buy it...

If the car is meant to be driven on the road, make sure your insurance will cover a car with a rebuilt title. Some won't, and I almost made the mistake of buying one.
You'll also have to get the car inspected to get the title changed from Salvage to Rebuilt. But that's no biggie.

Hey guys, I haven't been on here much. Turned out they wanted to much for the car, and the amount it would cost me to fix (doing the work myself + parts + plus purchase price of car) was to high. So I let the auction pass by. I made another post about another car I saw.
