Default My Car Was Stripped IN MY DRIVEWAY Last Night!

Unbelievable. Sometime between 3 AM and 6 AM my 05 Enthusiast was professionally stripped IN MY OWN DRIVEWAY. I live in Rockville, just off of Aspen Hill Road near Veirs Mill Road, in what I used to think was a decent neighborhood.

The took my hood, my headlights, my intake, my front bumper and who knows what else on the outside. Inside, they got my entire instrument cluster, my radio, my iPod and even my friggin' floormats!!!

This follows my neighbor's home across the street being burglarized 3 weeks ago. Can you say paranoid?

My son was up until 3 AM and heard nothing. I was up at 6 and didn't notice anything fishy until 7:30, when I went out to get the paper. The dog didn't bark at all last night, either.

I have no idea how they got in without breaking a window or setting off the alarm. The battery is disconnected, so there's a clue.

Anyway, if someone tries to sell you a Superblack hood or bumper or any of the other stuff noted above, they're probably hot, and they're probably mine!

Some pics attached. Be vigilant, guys!

wow, thats a clean job. at least they didnt f' up the car getting stuff out. I guess they wanted to make it a clean job so it will be easy for you to replace with nicer aftermarket stuff, with the insurance money.

Then they can come back and get that stuff.

Dude. That's freaking serious

Keep an eye on ebay. Then again, maybe they are using the parts to refurb their own car....

I find it hard to understand how someone can manage to take all those items without forced entry, alerting the dog or setting off an alarm.

they will be selling that to a body shop I am pretty sure. then the bodyshop pockets the difference in what they were paid for the new part.

maybe.

but that sucks... getting a bumper off is not the easiest job ever... not 'hard' but the bolts under the lights are a PITA to get to when you can't move the tires, and you can't get the headlights out without removing the bumper (unless you break the plastic tabs). at that point I seriously don't know why they didn't just take the doors as well. maybe they ran out of space.

or had a specific list of parts they needed... because they left a bunch of stuff... shift ****, steering wheel, seats...

good luck, file a police report.

sorry to hear... interesting that they left your wheels, airbags, and other easy to take valuable stuff... maybe it wasn't with the intent to sell, but rather someone that has recently wrecked their black z and needed some new front end parts? anyone know of someone in the guys area that recently wrecked a z?

To me looks like some one is putting their 350Z back together. Has there been any wreck 350Zs in your area?

def. doesn't need to be a black Z that was in an accident. and the interior is not exterior color specific.

I would ask local paint shops if anyone is getting some parts resprayed.
