new Z at great price
hope its ok to mention this
just sold my toyota supra TT(bpu+++) and yesterday took delivery of my new 04 superblack track model.
i bought it for 1000 over invoice at twin cities nissan ,knoxville,tn.
the internet sales guy is richard bensey and he was fantastic---honest, staightforward, knowlegable with no BS.
he can do this for all COUPES.you can reach him at 865-924-2237.
i'm a 56 yo univ.prof. and been into sports cars all my life---(a series of stingray corvettes(a 63 convert and 63 splitwindow and 66 coupe) before 3 240Zs, an 84 300zx turbo ,91 300zx tt and the supra.
except for the loss of considerable HP from the supra my new Z is absolutley fantastic.(and we'll fix that HP issue once she's broken in abit)
glad to return to nissan again!!!!
(i've quietly read the forums while i waited for delivery and now i am one happy camper.)

Welcome man! That is some list of cars you've had. Glad you've owned Zs in the past. I agree, the 350z doesnt pack the punch of some of the earlier jap supercars...but it is fun to drive nonetheless. My pops is about your age too and is a car maniac as well. Hope I am the same way when I hit my 50s

Well, welcome to the boards! Sounds like you had some great rides in the past. I will probably be identical to you one day, having a long list of sports cars owned. Anyways, any pictures of your supra? and did you ever track it? Enjoy the Z, bro!

the supra was a MONSTER--- the fastest car i've ever driven.
but you needed to have your racer's card up to date because when the TTs kicked in it was like my last sportbike(gsxr750) things happened fast and it hit hard(nope, never tracked it--it was a 93.5 with 65k miles and was pampered)
the Z is much more driveable. i look forward to performance upgrades and i'm gonna TRY to stay normally aspirated with all the perf.goodies --cai,exh,computer, plenum---then headers, hi perf cats and cams.
will order my volk gt7's soon .
i hear i should have little trouble selling the ray's tracks(with bridgestone potenza's). will list them in the classifieds when i'm ready.

and---thanks for the Q's on the supra but this thread was to alert everyone that the knoxville tn dealer does coupes for $1000 over kbb invoice. the dealership is VERY close to the airport and it seems many of you paying retail or over could fly down to pick up your Z and still save $$$$$$$$. i have rarely met a car salesman i liked---much less trusted ---and richard is the best and most honest i've ever met. i have NO incentive for saying this except to try to let other Z enthuisiasts save some money. maybe i should have negotiated something for mentioniong this but i didnt. just a cool guy, great dealership and a beautiful location for your initial bonding experience with your new baby.
