Anything is possible. You have to be ready now with no fooling around. Buyers are often squeamish with offers like
Would you consider $12,000?
That's not a real offer.
Consider
I will give you $12,000 for the car now.
then pull a roll of hundreds out of your pocket. Money talks. BS walks.

Ha! I'm actually shopping around for a Z and it's definitely possible. You could get a Z for $10,000 even. It's all about if the previous owner maintained it well, didn't drive like an asshat and has all/most of the service records.
A car with high miles usually never means it's a junker.
If you have connections you can go to car auctions and pick up an 05 for $13,000+ with decent miles aka way below MSRP (I'm currently going to auctions looking at 350Z's and G35 coupes)
people are desperate. Now is the time to get sweet deals!!

i was told not to buy cars from auctions because they sell cars with salvage/flood/rebuilt titles.
Ill sell you my 03 Track model with 63k miles for $12k cash right now. Its on autotrader at this link.http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Its also got a plenum spacer and pop charger on it that are not mentioned, and new brembo cross drilled front rotors and 2 bottles of RBF-600 brake fluid that I will throw in with it, as well as one spare front and one spare rear wheel/tire.
But yeah, OP, it's looking good for you. You'll find one, especially with forum owners willing to sell. That '03 track with mods and 63K sounds real good.
Still, if you got connections and most likely that person works at a dealer you can't go wrong. Just shop smart!
I've seem some e46 BMW M3's go for about $16,000 with clean records and problem free.
I am selling a 2005 yellow base model manual with 21k miles... Dropped on black rims... Salvage title though... The car was hit in the front but everything has been fixed and it runs smooth... Everything works...
its called craigslist.. you'll find plenty in that range.. most likely higher mileage but yeah. heck the other day i saw a 05 base Z sell for $13k..
i bought my 05 350z base model, w/8k miles for $21k 2 years ago..and i thought i had a deal.. but yeah..
