Default Good deal or no?

Okay so i've been looking at buying a 350z for over a year now. I've found one that I like and I have already been approved for with the bank. I just want to make sure I'm getting the best deal and I figure you guys would know the best.

Here's some info on the car.
It's a 2004 with about 41,000 miles on it. It's a 6 speed manual. Nismo intake and exhaust. It's silver with a carbon fiber hood that i hate.

They wanted $14,995 and right now they will give it too me for $14,400 with the registration included.

Also I was wondering how hard it would be to find a stock hood in the same color and if I could sell the carbon fiber hood for much?

Thanks for any help

shipping on hoods is a killer. that looks like the stillen hood that is required for installation of a stillen supercharger, someone chime in if I am wrong? if that is the case, I would not want to buy a preboosted car..

is the deal itself bad if the car wasn't previously boosted? yeah, not bad at all. I bought an 04.5 5AT enthusiast last year before prices started flopping hardcore with 40k miles for about 17.8.. :[

that hood is hideous, I doubt many want it, but you could definitely sell it. the kicker is getting someone to cover the shipping cost. you can find stock hoods for sale that are already painted the same color as yours sometimes, and they are usually sold for just a couple hundred or less.. again, the kicker would be shipping, and if you can find one locally etc..

How much would that hood sell for do you think? Enough to cover the cost of the stock hood? I think the hood ruins the whole look of the car honestly.. It's not supercharged, but it does have a few modifications done like the nismo cold air intake and exhaust.

if i were you i would just repaint it, unless you can find a stock one for cheap, or if you decide to get another after market hood

How would i be able to tell if it is legit carbon fiber? It looks just like the black carbon fiber just in that grayish color..

With the ugly hood do you think this is a good deal and I should go pick it up tomorrow or do you think I should let it go and keep searching?

yeah I didn't state that the car was currently boosted, but it's a possibility that the previous owner had a stillen SC installed and stripped and sold it off prior to trading in or selling. that alone is enough reason for me to justify looking elsewhere

Why is the hood painted a different color than the body?

You should easily be able to tell if the car was previously boosted.

That's just the color the hood comes in. It's a carbon fibre hood.

How would I tell if it's previously been boosted? I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get it but if they come down $1,000-$1,500 I might consider it..

The price seems pretty fair, especially since it's negotiable. That body kit is ack though.

definitely not a good deal, you can get something a lot better for your money. Unless you can get them to sell it for $12~13k then it's a good deal.

I got my 2006 Track model with 30k miles about 3 months ago for $15k (before tax and registration). the car comes with stock brembo brakes and premium rays forged wheels
