Default Dealership Lease Buyout Question

Im planning on buying out my 350z from its current lease. My question is i currently have mods on my car and the dealership is telling me that i need to bring my z in for inspection before i can buy it out. My question is if im buying the car out why would i need to bring in my z? And if i do, do i need to uninstall my mods first? thanks

I don't think it's necessary since you are buying out the car, and your car already has a buy-out value stated in the lease contract.

However, if you are turning it in, be sure to take everything out, otherwise the dealership will charge you "their cost" for whatever they need to replace (exhaust/wheels/etc).

Because the dealer wants the car in original condition in case you do not come up with the money to buy the car. Or the deal goes sour.
