He went to the dealership and paid cash money for his first car which was a subaru sti.
yeah im pretty sure that i made it clear this this is NOT going to be my first car. and im not buying this car to street race and **** im not stupid. I don't want one because its fast. I've just been super attracted to 350z's since i was like twelve.

Ok look, fukk what everyone else says. You need to save some money, go out and buy an ole V6 Suck-stang. Then slap some rims on it and maybe some louvers and all the little 12 year olds at your school will think your "Tha ****". You might get a few hand jobs or something too.

Then, buy a cooler car in a few years, maybe like a SUV with some rims and some 15s in the back for the bumps and you'll get ur meat licked.

Finally, a few years later, get a Z when you are finishing high school. Like a Revised 2012 370z with 376 hp and 2 more torque than the first 370z.

I probably wouldn't take that route to the finish, but that sounds about right for you.

Buy a beater and get an education. Worry about a real car when you have a real job. Don't buy something you can barely afford because when you move out you will quickly realize all your money goes into your car. That means you will live in a cheap, crappy apartment with no garage because you can't afford the extra $50/month. Since your car is nice and has to sit on the street it will soon get stolen by white guys in baggy pants and you will only be able to afford a beater. Then you will think, "Man, I could have saved some time and just bought a beater to begin with."

You're not realising the difference between a Jeep and a 350z. They are two entirely different spectrums. A jeep does not accelerate anywhere near the velocity (lol) of a 350z. A 350Z handles different. Also the L6 Jeeps are AWD? As opposed to RWD like the 350z. You may say now that you won't street race or whatever. But at that age and mentallity all it takes is for one dude to pop off at the mouth and the race begins. Especially once you feel that power. No matter how mature you may be. Will you be able to handle the rear stepping out on you at 40 mph? Can you handle the RWD in the rain? In the Z man especially in the rain the rear of the car will always almost accidentally step out. Gotta know how to handle it.

There's alot of maint. and care that Z's need. You may be working 2 jobs and such for the Z but that's probably just barely going to cut the insurance and maint costs. Imagine if you break something. I hope you're ready to fork out 1k like it's nothing for any kind of repair. Tires alone well for me at least were over 1k. Can't skip out and go the cheap route.

Just get your skills up in a 240. Get used to the RWD physics. Then upgrade. Going from a truck to a mild sports car isn't the smartest choice no matter how mature you are.

okay im not saying im getting a jeep to get experience for a z. everyone was just saying "don't get a z as your first car" and im just saying that its not going to be. THE JEEP IS RWD. with the AWD feature. i drive my dads jeep all the time. i know how to drive in the rain. im not saying im pro and i know the z's have more power and to be careful with them.

can everyone quit shitting on my dreams. i've said already im prepared for maintenence. i've got a plan for that. im starting my wedding business.

how about everyone quits telling me not to get a z and can someone who did buy a z before they were 18 talk to me about what they did to get it?

once again if your going to tell me why i shouldn't get a z or that im just some dumb teenager who thinks maintaining a car is easy as pie... don't even bother.

holy crap kid you act like you have been driving for years, your 15, your just a baby!!!! you swear like you have been driving your dads jeep for years and that driving that is sufficient enough to prepare yourself for whatever the Z is gonna throw at you....im 21, and i am still learning alot about driving and what not and i am on the Z which is my 6th car..( sold all other cars, didnt total them) most people here under my age that have a Z either mommy and daddy paid for it, or got a loan, i dont know why your parents are letting you work two jobs thats crazy, if my kid was 15, a car would be no worry at the moment, you need to go to school, get an education and a good job, if you like film and photography, thats cool, your banking on this wedding filming stuff, and where you saying you make t-shirts, and trying to work two jobs? dude i wouldnt be able to do that right now, i doubt your gonna be able to pull that off and have a life let alone maintain a Z...even if you waited to buy a z till my age your insurance is gonna be insane ( even with a good record) .....look...i like your enthusiasm, and saying you got things planned out, but your not being real, you know whats some good advice that i have heard before and i think people should live by? you need to LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS...and it sounds like a Z is not within your means, for example, i took one of my cars to the stealership to get a qoute for a 60K mile service on a 06 ford fusion..they wanted 1000 dollars....you have 1000 dollars to blow for a service? fak no, niether do i...thats why i went to autozone myself and did it for 100 bucks (all the things i needed) but anyway you get the point, if its that expensive on a little 4 cyl...imagine a sports car like the Z...

sorry for the rant, but im just mad that our car is looked at like its a damn civic, thats gonna be all cheap and easy to attain by damn 15 year olds? really?

no offense to you OP, we just see this alot, like ive said before, alot of guys have bought these cars brand new for 34k when it first came out, so to see it going for crap, would make me mad if i spent that kinda money

END

owned .. haha

but seriously man.. we're tryin to give you advice.. You act like you have everything planned out.. Trust me life and making money isnt that easy.. You're 15 years old and you're saying your going to buy a 30k car with cash???? Just BE PATIENT.. And you recently said in a POST you're graduating next year? Im geussing you're a genius too?? I dont know too many people who graduate at the age of 16. And stop acting like everyone is saying you're not a responsible kid.. It doesnt matter how responible you are you still have a LACK OF EXPERIENCE! A RWD jeep is nothing like a Z or any sports car.

^yes sir! one of my previous cars was a fast *** v8 durango, and i thought i could handle it all, once i got in the Z and punched it once on a freeway entrance, got sideways as hell, recovered from it, and went, holy **** im not used to this thing lol
but really, its way different going from an suv to a sports car, especially at 15 years old with NO driving experience, i dunno bout you guys, but im still learning new things/tricks to be a better driver.

blehhhh and you don't have to be a genius to graduate at 16. The GED test isn't rocket science i have plenty of friends who have taken it and passed easily. and im not going to buy a 30k car with cash. im going to buy a 15k car with cash. im not buying it new... and did you seriously see me say that a RWD jeep is like a sports car? no so shutup.

and to volk350.

im not a ****'ing baby. and i don't talk like i've been driving for years. your just exaggerating my words. i said i drive my dads jeep a lot.

can every one just shutup. IM STUBBORN. IM REALLY STUBBORN. I don't mean to sound like a little un grateful kid but i have my heart set on the z and im not going to stop till i have it and willing to put up with a lot to get it. why do you guys not want me to get this car so bad? you don't even know me so quit acting like you care. If im going to have trouble keeping the car then let me have trouble keeping the car.

I don't need your guys's help with anything.

I'VE SAID THIS TWICE ALREADY. DO NOT BOTHER TELLING ME THAT THIS CAR IS NOT EASY TO MAINTAIN AND PAY FOR. I KNOW IT ISN'T EASY.

i have a friend tis who bought a rolled z last year when he was 16 and fixed it up all himself. he's 17 now and works for his dad and has no problems keeping his car fixed.

now. if theres anyone who bought there car at an early age wanna talk about it and let me know what you did to get it? im just here to talk to other young kids who bought z's. not old 100 year olds who think im a stupid stuck up kid.

well give up. because trust me there is no one else that got a Z when they were 15 or 16 except if theyre parents bought it for them. Would you rather take advice from another 16 year old with no experience or would you rather take advice from someone that actually has some sense and is a little older then you?

The way you type and attempt to defend yourself shows your age and obvious lack of experiance.

My first car was a 300zx and I now know I should have started with something different. I know have my 350Z and a sport bike and couldnt be happier.

Dont try to grow up too quick... You have plenty of time to make your dreams a reality
