Default Finding the right Z

Ok so I'm sorta in the market for a used 350z, give or take a year or so to finding the right one. But I'm currently trying to get a good idea of pricing on a 2007. My main concern is it being a 6MT with black leather interior and having the new dual intake/revup engine.

so, from my knowledge on this car so far, my guess is getting Enthusiast or above is the best choice since it has LSD and some other goodies?

I found
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false on Autotrader to get an idea of pricing but is that really an Enthusiast trim? I recall reading somewhere that the Enthusiast trim comes with cruise control but I don't see it on there on the steering wheel, and I wasn't sure because I think Base doesn't have Leather? LOL I'm confused.. If anyone can point me to the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

Hell you will be a 350Z pro in a year. Able to tell every year every model with your eyes closed.

lol so I guess the only way to tell if it's not Base is if I find one thats got steering wheel controls? It seems hard to come across one with what I'm looking for... I keep finding ones w/ cloth seats and I'm not really diggin the cloth.

Should I wait another year? I know 2007 is still kinda new and I'm kinda picky with the car.

Then you will have to move up to a 350Z with leather.

Yea I'm mainly just having trouble distinguishing between the different trims... the sellers on autotrader are kind of stupid. They list the car saying it has "Leather Seats", and I look at the pics, and its cloth?

And some are listing the Z as Enthusiast but they don't have cruise control so it's a Base?

I figured I might as well just get the Base model because it's not like I'm back in the good ol' highschool days, street racing lol. LSD is kinda useless then. My car now doesn't even have LSD and I drive it just fine. Plus I could always get the Nismo one installed at a later date.

I however do want to find one with leather tho, the Z is a pretty sweet ride and rollin in cloth seats just feels kinda cheap. I mean this car isn't a civic lol.

Dealers will often use "stock" photos and cut-and-paste specs. Not that they are trying to deceive, just that they do not know the model. Only way to be certain is to look at the car yourself.

yeah don't take any dealers word based on what model you are getting. I had one trying to pass off an enthusiast as a GT, which is a pretty big jump in options and price. it's not too hard to learn which models have what, but it is a pain sifting through online ads with incorrect info :/

I'm looking for an '07 enthusiast too and have called and emailed the guy selling that car and explained to him that it is a base model. He refused to believe me and even promised that the car had the lsd and tcs, but just didn't include cruise control. He argued that not all enthusiasts come with cruise control and that its an added option on the enthusiast that you have to pay for. I hate when people lie to me. Maybe everyone should call him and explain his mistake to him. It's so frustrating when you find a 'perfect' car and its just a false advertised base. Oh well thats my vent for the day

unfortunately a lot of people are stupid enough to buy a car not knowing what the package includes. there are 3 ads for track models in my area and none of them feature rays wheels or brembo brakes. all they do is say TRACK MODEL and hope people will fall for it.

I found http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...3&aff=national browsing around.

It is a bit hard to identify the diff models now that the the 370z is out. Does anyone happen to know a site to go to to see the diff trim/options on the previous gen Z? Since just looking at that used car in the link I posted, I could hardly tell the diff if that is really an Enthusiast or Touring or Grand Touring other than just taking the dealer's word on that it's a Touring model.

http://www.*********.com/zwiki/350Z_Buyers_Guide:
Here is a site that breaks the models down by year. Just click the year you want and it lists all the different models and exact features of each.

Edit: not sure why it wont let me put the link. maybe there is a rule against quoting that site? can someone tell me why I cant put that site.
