Default Looking @ a 2003 350z Touring

Hi,

Looking for confirmation before pulling the trigger on this deal. Buying a Mint Condition, 2003 350z Touring that's fully loaded (Nav, Leather, etc), 6sp Manual, with 10K from a private seller for $16K. The Z is SUPER clean inside and out. I just starting looking at the Z's a few days ago and believe I may have came across a good deal!

I came across this site and have been reading up on everything. The owner did point out the tire issue and came down on the price.

Thanks in advance.

For $16K, I would get a 2005. 2003 are notorious for having tire feathering issues.

Stay away from 2006 as well.

Yea! I'm okay with the tire issue. I circle this thing several times, inside and out, and only located one tiny ding. It's truely in show room condition and drives very well.

Where in Philly did you find such a deal?!?! hook me up bro! Anyways, $16k for a 03 with 10k is a pretty decent deal. Did the owner purchase an extended warranty or so? I believe the factory warranty is gone by now.

10,000 miles is a winner. Go for it.

No factory warranty left.

After reading everyone's advice, I'm going to pick up the Z either on Monday or Tuesday and hope to post some pic's by this weekend.

Thanks again for the fast responses and keep them coming.

Tire feathering isn't a big deal but the 03's are also known for having syncro problems inside the transmission. Some people's 2003s have started grinding gears with as little as 20k miles on them so make sure the car doesn't grind gears and perhaps think about getting a 2004.5-2005.

You can't honestly unless you drive it a lot. And even if it doesnt happen right now there is a good chance it could. My 03 grinds into 6th sometimes but thats not too big of a deal IMO. It has 55k miles right now.

wow what an freaken good deal. i looked at an 03 touring manual brickyard this weekend at the nissan dealer w/ about 16500 miles but they wanted like $20k for it.

i would jump on that. as for the tire feathering, just get it aligned and get some harder compound tires.

Also comes with Gianelle Chrome Rims (can't remember the model or specs) and the original OEM rims.

I'm really enjoying this site (alots of information and great members).

Thanks.

When you go on your test drive, I would run the hell out of it. Shift into every gear at a high RPM, and shift hard. Move the shifter hard into every gear, you'll know if it grinds gears if it makes a grinding noise as you put it into gear and the shifter will vibrate before it drops into the gear.
