Ha ha, I knew it was you. Russ called me to thank me. He even said he would give me $100 for the referral. He didn't even have to do that, good dealer. All you have to do is give me a ride in your Z and we'll call it even! Mine isn't supposed to come until November/December.

You got it Brandon! I'll keep you updated on my delivery... again... thanks for the tip. Russ really is the best dealer I've worked with.

Keep up the good work on the site... great reading.
I'll sell you my Black Touring arriving on Sept. 10 for .... let's see.... $9,999.99 over MSRP. What?? Hey, I'm less than the dealer.

Just trying to keep it light. You might want to try Ebay. The avg. is probably in the $2500 over MSRP range.

I did pre order, on March 26. I still don't have a delivery date - probably will be late October, early November - my guess, my dealer wouldn't recognize the car if one showed up on the truck.

It is frustrating to find that people are now walking into dealerships and getting delivery dates very close to mine.

Have seen posts stating that both Broadway (Redwood City) and Hayward dealerships taking orders at MSRP. Maybe that will make Stevens Creek Nissan reconsider.

hehe this oesnt surprise me. Here in the bay area ....this is a hot market, driven by image; IMAGE is everything, people will pay whatever just to be in a nice car. Put it this way....they pay nearly 70k for a 2002 convertible BMW M3 hahaha.

Anyone who pays 43k for a nissan is on crack!

...sticking to the subject: I went to PUrdue <redneck neighbor to redneck KY>. Over there people drive mostly trucks and dont know **** about cars. Over there rear wheel drive cars dont sell that much due to harsh winters....soooooo Im guessing that nissan dealerships in the IN & KY area CANNOT add markups O/W rednecks wont buy japanese cars <not that they do, actually they dont > Call IN nissan dealerships and check it out.

Wow, man. Every dealer I've spoken with in the Chicago area has offered me MSRP on an order.

Do you want to have a car at MSRP and have it shipped to you?
Then call Dan Ziegler @ Smithtown Nissan
631-361-9696.
What have you got to lose the cost of a phone call?
What have you to gain, the car of your dreams at a cost you can afford!
Your "dime" (I guess I'm showing my age, your $.25)

That's what I am doing. I'm in North Carolina, and I'm sure that there are some fine dealers here, but I don't want to hunt them down.

Dan has proved himself to many people. I e-mailed him for the 1st time Saturday afternoon, and he replied to a "potential" out of state customer at 11:40 Saturday night. How many other dealers would take the time to do that.

If I decide to order (and I'm very, very, VERY close), then it will cost me MSRP plus $300 to ship it to NC if I decide not to pick it up.

Dan has impressed a whole bunch of people om this fourum and on ZCAR.COM. So far, my dealings with him have done nothing but confirm that. If I decide to order, its just a phone call and we can get the deal done. What a fantatstic way to buy a car.

Hrm.. the first dealer I talked to told me MSRP. If I order it by next week I'll have it by Jan.

That said, I was hoping to get it for more like $1K under MSRP

Im pretty sure you will!!! just check @ dealerships in any state where there are HARSH WINTERS <snow>, hahaha, rear wheel drive cars WILL NOT be sold on those states at least til next spring

at least thats what happened with sport bikes while I was @ Purdue. I rem Chicago Cycle Center would blow out sport bikes at incredible prices, well below msrp. Hehe, here in the bay area people pay msrp for a Yamaha R6 and last time I checked there in chicago they were selling them for like about 7200 AND they had a higher redline!!!!!!!!

Congrats.

I wonder how many people actually pay 40k or more? I doubt many. I think the dealerships just raise the price that high to keep the car on the lot. It helps attract customers that end up buying other Nissans. Or maybe someone will counter the offer.

It's funny I saw this thread cause I was in the Langhorne, PA area and they are selling an auto 350Z (Le Mans Sunset) for $42,995. Thier reason, they got it at an auction for $41K. I don't know if that's all BS to have a story for their unbelievalbe mark up, but I just laughed, admired the car, then left.

If you look around, you will find dealers that will sell for MSRP, as my brother's friend did - which I can't wait to see and hopefully test drive.

If you want a joke, try looking up 350Zs on autotrader.com.

Haven't seen many (well, any actually...) posts from my neck of the woods, but I ordered a Track for MSRP from a dealer in Phoenix.
