Anyone had Katzkin or other seatcovers done?

Please do not refer me to the guy with burnt staypuff marshmallow seat covers. Seem them. Very funny thread.

How much did it run.

I had 2 aftermarket companies price me @ $900 and over $1,000 for Katzkin seatcovers with suede inserts and Z emblem on headrest.

I can get factory leather installed from the dealer for $900 but not two tone with suede and loss of side air bag.

I have Lemans Sunset and considering Dark Graphite with light slate suede inserts. The light slate looks almost silver, looks good with the interior accents.

It's hard to put in an order only looking at 3" swatch of fabric.

Dare I ask for opinions.

 

There are two vendors on here that would do the two tone with seude for about $600 shipped, then you gotta get an install price. Of course you need to figure out what you want first at a local shop.
Not sure how the light grey would look with LS. I stayed dark with mine (still not installed though). I checked out the orange suede but it wasn't for me!

 

Who has first hand experience w/the product sold by 350Zforums.org?

 

Some of the color choices were pretty wild. Theu Katzkin orange was too crazy.

I might go with Graphite leather and dark graphite suede instead of light graphite. Not as noticable.

If anyone wants Black leather with red leather perf inserts, the shop I went to had a brend new set that was ordered and never picked up or installed. They looked nice, but not for my car. Probably get a good deal.

here's a pic of my katzkin seats, i got them from a member of these forums, ATD1, his name is james, check the vendor classifieds. I think they did have a color that was dead on match for the OEM orange leather.

Thanks for the info. I read some older threads and It seems the price is about right.
Sunline (Dealer in Lindenhurst, long island) was one of the vendors I went to. Very nice people.

Just did not want to get stuck with crappy product and install.

Now I have the product and dealer, it's a matter of color. Katzkin orange is horrible. Would never put that in my LS.

Definitely want suede inserts and Z logo. Not the logo that is on the fenders. Just a Z not that there aren't enough Z's on the car already.
