Question How much different in price and spec?

Newbie to the forum, and a potential Z owner, still considering between the G and the Z.

So, if I go for the Z, how much different if I go for 03 or a 04? Which model of Z is the best choice? Is it worth to get a Track model for those Brembos and forged wheel? Or a Performance model and buy your own Volks Racing?

Doupt you can still order 03' anymore, unless you are buying whats on the lot or used. Both Enthu and Perf are the best choices IMHO. No need to get Track if you are planning on upgrading later on (to 19" wheels and big break kit). Shop around and you will be able to find Zs under MSRP. Good luck.

There's no 'best trim', I suggest you visit Nissan's page and check the specs/price for all trims, then decide which one suits you the most!

To me, track is the best trim

Go with the Z. This is after all a Z forum so guess what were gonna tell you to get? The Z is a true sports car and the G is not. That right there should be enough for you. I have a TRACK and dont plan to Mod the brake, rims, or wheels. Happy with the ones the car came with. If your looking to add Mods then go for a TOURING or ENTHUSIAST and add what you want. There are tons of G's out here in Cali. Too many if you ask me. I see Z's here and there but not so many it's over kill like the G's. The Z is cheapier if you go with a lower model. You'll be happy with any 6MT Z you get! Join the Cult and pick up the Z!

No such thing as a 6AT in the Z only a 6MT and a 5AT.

The Z is a true sports car, while the G35C has most of the options of a 350Z as well as maintaining a comfort level not found in the Z. Another discerning option to consider is the two seats (Z) versus the four seats in a G35C. Really you need to research and test drive both cars more than once and decide which one is the right pick for you.

Thanks a bunch guys for your info. I checked out the nissanusa.com and saw one ok close dealer is still having like 15+ 2003s, how much do you think they would sell for? below msrp? or go with the 04s, but i don't see much difference between the 03s and 04s, right?

I just picked up my Z in Socal and didnt see any 2003's on the lots. Read the repair threads on the 2003's and you'll see some issues that are happening to a lot of owners. From Tire Feathering to oil streaked windows. Not sure if the 2004's will face those problems. I havent so far but I dont have enough miles yet. The 2003 owners seem overall happy with thier Z's with the exception of the issues some have had. But you have to expect a few glitches here and there. You shouldnt pay MSRP on a 2003 or a 2004 if you can help it. You should be able to get the car a 1000 or better off MSRP. Be patient if you can and you'll get a better deal. If your in a hurry that maybe a different story.

if you plan to mod, then i would get a base z and spend the extra 8 grand or so on mods.

aftermarket:
-lsd
-wheels/tires
-brembos
-HIDs
-pulleys
-coilovers
-test pipes

If your on a board like this...and go to meets, chances are your going to catch "the mod bug." I didn't even know what modding was when i first got my bmw...then i found some bmw forums and it was all over. After the z has been out for a while, chances are u will want that feeling of everyone staring at your car again. The best way to do that is some tasteful mods. Actually i don't really care if people stare but for me its if i start to get bored with the car, buy a mod and it feels brand new again. I mean the track model looks hot but if u are going to mod then def. get the enthu.....thats what i'm getting.
