The best bet is to shop around by visiting the dealers. Calling the dealer will not help.

I live in Minneapolis, called around, dealers are stupid pigs trying to charge me MSRP, it's a good deal cause they don't charge extras. Whoop-ti-woo! Thanks but no thanks.
So I called dealers in Chicago (got info from NIssanusa.com), I called 20 of them, half of them don't have what I want, a quarter of them are still selling MSRP, and about 6 of them are....let me put it this way, "willing to be as competitive as possible".
Anyhow, I got my Z 2000 below sticker(including spoiler and side airbag, mud guard and mats.) Not the best deal, but better than what I would of gotten.

Good luck, it's worth it.

Try northwest Indiana..they tend to be a little cheaper. Either Highland or Hobart.

I bought my Z last January from Star Nissan in Niles for almost 2k under MSRP. Shop around and see what they have on the lots. I'm sure you'll find someone willing to deal. The cars aren't hard to find now.

Got mine in Nov '02 for MSRP at Continental Nissan in Countryside, IL (South side).

They are decent priced, I believe & the service is good.
You shouldn't too much more than invoice. Shop around & if a dealer is unwilling to drop any $$$ of their price, go to the next dealership.

I got mine for $5000 below sticker at "the toy store" in shaumburg (used 3800 miles) When I was looking for new ones the Nissan dealer in Waukegan told me to scratch when I wanted one below sticker...... I stopped at the one on 41 (i think its in highland park) some sales guy told me somedays they go below somedays they dont depending on inventory (they didnt have what i wanted...so i didnt press it)
