Default Refinancing any one did it?

Hello there,

Recently I had my Z for sale on these boards, and reason was my brother who needed a car took over my payments(I was gonna sell it, but chose to help him out); nevertheless, he ended up moving and left me with the car note. So I was stuck with this Z I would love to keep, but just could not afford at this current stated being in school.

I tried to sell it, and this dealer agreed to buy. He ended up sending a truck down to pick it up but the guy that was getting it was a idiot who nearly wrecked it. So long story short my father finding out about this calls me and offers me 5 grand to refinance the Z.

Has any one done this, and if so what do you guys recommend I do. I was thinking in going to my bank (Bank of America) and seeing with them about a loan.

And as always thank guys. I am sure I wont be doing any modding, but at least I will be able to keep my Z.

Thanks guys. Yeah I was thinking of a credit union as well, and there is one that is a part of this hospital that I work at as a student. So it should be no big deal for them I think.

I did exactly as described above on my 350. Went from the original bank and refinanced with my credit union. The rate was so much better compared to the original rate that I saved an entire month on the loan and dropped my payment about $100/month. It took about an hour and it was all done.

It won't cost you anthing to do this. It's not like refinancing a house.

I'm probably going to do the same thing on my 370.

^^^
There's no fee... The only "fee" would be the title change for the DMV, but thats like $35... Other than that, there is no charge.... The credit union I used was non-profit from what I was told...

No fee. I"ve done it a couple of times and it doesn't cost a dime.

Well I have talked to a local bank, and they are willing to refinance my remained of the load at %5.25 over 60-72 months. I am not gonna extend it to 72 as that is a waist of money. Also, it is so funny my gas every month will be about the same as the Z hahaha.

That's pretty good rate. My credit union is 5.5% over 60 months.

Yeah I thought the same, and best of all I only had to put down half of my cash now. Thinking of using it as emergency cash for the rainy days, or most likely the dumb thing and use it for mods
