That's the hard part, rental car companies do not carry MT cars. I tried posting on craigslist without any success, I contacted the Driver's Ed schools and none of them have a manual to teach. I might have one person at work who might be able to help me, but i won't know till thursday.

If that doesn't work out, I'll be posting ads on bulletin boards

I tried to rent a manual 350Z in Tucson, AZ. Could not find one.

BTW many adults have not driven a manual transmission. 90 percent of military veterans do. Everyone in the Army gets a rifle and a 2 1/2 ton truck.

It will take you about 100 miles to learn to drive a manual. You will make plenty of mistakes but so what. Of course I am an old fart. Born in 1949, and I have never bought a vehicle with a automatic transmission.

I learned how to drive manual during my test drive of my new WRX. I made plenty of mistakes for the first day and had an experienced friend give me points the 2nd day. I feel like by the third day I could drive it without making errors and with an occasional stall. hardly a burden to pick up a car that is much more enjoyable to drive.

I traded in a 400hp automatic camaro ss for a 265hp manual wrx. the driving experience is that much better with a manual. bite the bullet and go force yourself to learn, you will be glad you did!
