Built TT 350z?
I'm about to go through with purchasing a built TT 350z for 22k and was just curious if the price is a tad high.
The chassis has 56k miles, base model. The motor has about 3k after the build, 20g Greddy TT kit. I have actually seen and had a hand in pulling the motor from the car last year, I just really don't know the value of a modified Z.
The body is in great condition, no damage, no accidents, clean title. Built by a reputable shop, and very well takin care of. The guy who owned it travels all the time so it didn't get hot rodded a lot, let alone it has low miles on the build.
Do the Z's usually retain decent reliability after mods?

Reliability questions are loaded. Depends on the setup, the choice in mods, the tune, and most importantly the driver.
There are tons of queers on this site with dyno queens who claim to run there cars hard and have no track times, or even vids to back it up, just dyno numbers. Of course their 650+whp cars will last 20K miles...others fawk up built motors/transmissions, or encounter issues even with the best parts/tuning.
Owning a car mod'd to such extremes isnt for everyone. It WILL test your patience, and wallet and while it will be fun it will always let you down when you least need it to, at least mine has, over and over and over. I am more of the extreme though, but you could be in my shoes, its just a chance you take when you mod almost everything in a car, one small problem can create a snowball of issues.
Truly a love/hate relationship. Most cant handle it. Go to classifieds and look at the numerous built cars for sale, compare mods and mileage of what you see and YOU determine if you what you have a chance at is a deal.

he can buy my built tt z.....2008 22k miles with the brand new "phantom turbo kit" it makes 999rwhp on a dyno dynamics dyno (which has got to be like 8000rwhp on a dynojet). i love this kit b/c it hides so nicely, it looks stock.....its the ultimate sleeper. currently its on a low boost (86psi) setting b/c i want longevity. its got a 500k mile warranty if i keep it on this setting

cant even tell its there

Sorry I didn't even know people responded to this thread lol!
Yes I undertook the FI Z. We tore it down and rebuilt the bottom end, checked everything out and put it back in the car. Drove it 1k miles straight from Denver to Arkansas only stopping for gas, no issues. Still going strong and I drive it everyday.
No clue what number it puts down, and I really don't care. It was 528@9psi untuned, now it's on 1bar with a very conservative tune.
It drives, really all I'm concerned about ATM. Not one for "dyno sheets" I'd rather play with my toys
