Talking hello, am new here. need some help

wats up guys, new here from south tx. i been searching to buy a 350z, well i found this one for $9k, it has 55k miles, 03 touring edition, pearl white, auto. BUT the only thing that concerns me is that its a rebuilt title, the guy said they only replaced the hood and fender. idk if its a good deal, i could use some advice here. i still need to test drive it and see how it goes. thanks in advance, nice forum btw

first, wrong forum; use the 350z one.
Second, never buy a rebuilt/salvage title.
Third, needs a drop

you think the previous accident was minor enough that the insurance totaled it out, and he was able to buy it back and just replace the hood / fender and good as new? please don't be naive, the price looks good for a reason. have it checked out if you are seriously interested.

look how bad the hood fits, that is a good indicator of the kind of repair work that was done. that z has more problems then you can see.

please check out the npcf for more info.

If your willing to buy it as is and deal with the choice, then go for it, otherwise save up another 3/4k and get one you'll really love.

its not just at the headlight .. it doesnt close all the way down .. could be a simple adjustment but I have my doubts. there is already evil in this transaction - they fed you BS about just replacing the hood and the fender (or if thats true, they didnt fix any of the actual damage that made it totaled, likely frame damage), and you sort of bought into it.

walk away. spend another 3-4k and get a clean title car : )

you can carproof/carfax it to see how much insurance was claimed, which also gives a description of which part was hit

but from i've heard, never buy a car with frontal damage, as that is where the engine is, and if the damage was enough to change it to a rebuilt title, then it was probably pretty bad. i'm sure there is some thing that is bent/warped in the engine that will haunt you a few thousand km down the road.....which could be very, very costly...

nothing is worse than buying a car and regretting it. rather spend a few extra grand to get a safe car, and perhaps regret spending so that 2-3 extra thousand, but is still better than getting an cheap car and just which you could turn back time

Im sure you could talk them down a bit more. Have you tried our private classifieds? If the budget allows, Id recommend keeping the truck along w/the 350z.
