Default Buying advice, please help.

Hello, my name is Jack and I'm very new to the "Z" community. I would Like to become a part of this community soon, so please advise me on this purchase.

The car is a 2008 350z MT with 42k miles for $17,900.

My concern is, according to carfax, why was the clutch and MAF repaired at ~35k miles?

Appreciate the help, THANX!

If the car runs out good, thats an excellent price compared to what a Z of that year/mileage is selling in this area.Probably be asking 21k here.
Hey,I myself would,nt be too concerned about a clutch repair or the MAF.Seems that there are numerous postings about MT repair(usually clutch)on this forum.Guys drive the car.How you drive it,thats a different story.I never hear of many probs on a AT car...?
The car looks clean. Also, the BLUE(SanMarino?)is somewhat a rare color and one of the best. The rims are about the best on a OEM Z.
Hey,buy that car and enjoy it!

clutch being repaired that early = someone that can't drive MT very well or this was the first manual car etc, or someone that abused it a bit (racing / drag racing etc). not always 100% the case, but it's an indicator.

MAF sensor being repaired/replaced could be a number of things. maybe he broke it when installing an intake system, maybe he reoiled an intake filter too much and drenched the MAF in oil and messed it up, maybe it was just faulty.

overall seems like a decent deal. pretty minor concerns IMO

your link doesn't work to check out the car, though

The car was sold before I even had the chance to check it out =( But I found a 2007 for the same price with the same miles.
