Can someone please link me to a thread detailing the differences in each year? Looking for another 350z and I want to make sure I pick up the right model year with the least amount of issues. Or maybe the newer models are worse then older, etc. Reliability is the biggest concern... I don't want to pick up a used 350z and then spend $1,000 every month on maintenance issues big and small. I owned a G35 before and the lock actuator, window motor, oil consumption, etc were a nightmare and a joke. I know the 350z has all the same issues obviously but hoping Nissan has fixed some of them in the newer models.

Just to add
A lot of 03 and 04 cars had the trans swapped under warrenty to the newest version. All years are subject to feathering, all years are subject to window motors.
Reality is, some months will nickel and dime you, other times it will be as realible at a average commuter car.

That chart is exactly what I was looking for, what website is that?
So... it looks like the 06 has better power/audio setup. Paint seems to have gotten worse.
Not sure if I'm reading the symbols right though.

Get an 07-08 if it's within your budget. Your only main issue is clutch master cylinder possibly going out. Maybe the trunk hatch not popping open or w/e, but it's not major and there are easy fixes or TSB available @ dealer.
Minor issue = cheap painted plastic parts on interior can get scratched.

you have alot more learning to do than this my friend OP.
everyone on here reads your statement about why buy an 06 when you can buy an 03 and is laughing on the inside.. please take your time to read and search.
You sound like youre ready to run out the door right now to buy the car.. good luck w that.

Only thing worse then members not being able to find what they're looking for in search and THEN making a thread is trolls who are bored at work adding to their post count with nothing productive to contribute.
If i were to look at a used 06 350z how would I be able to tell if the motor has been replaced through dealership recall or if the present motor still has oil consumption issues? This is really my biggest concern with the 06' model.

And no, we're not bored. There are plenty of posts just like this and we get sick of seeing them over and over and over...etc. This explains why you too are having trouble because there are other threads just like this with no information. If something doesn't come up in search, then search under another term. Then another and another.....etc. Try using Google like Bmurray350z said. That helps too. A lot of times these forum websites are the first to pop up on your search.
It's very simple.
