He said that he got the services done at Nissan dealers, and when I asked him about a possible OC issue, he said "The mechanics never told me anything about that, i just got the service done and left."

But I will have to check his records to make sure.
And Plus, I would assume that the nissan mechanics might be too lazy to report the issue to the owner, since that would create more work for them. no offense to anyone.

 

Stupid question: If i were to take the car to a nissan dealer to get it inspected for this issue, would they be able to tell without having to do an OC test? is there even a way for me to check to see if it has the problem?

 

good gawd man how many posts on the same topic. Go get the damn car and do a leak down and compression check. Also the damn car has 8,000 miles in over 5+ years imagine how many oil changes. Do you really think the guy had time to do a 1000mile - 1500mile oil consumption test in 1 month. He probably drove it 1000 miles in 6 months. Good gawd go pick up the car and have a mechanic / infiniti do a pre purchase inspection and get a compression/leak down test done.

 

you are going to have to check/change the oil in any vehicle regularly anyways.....so....weather its a Z or a civic....u choose.
