Make sure it doesn't burn oil is the most important. 06's are notorious for that.

2006 is a reliable year. Go for it.

For that mileage, 15k is a very good deal. I paid slightly less for my 2006 with 48k on it but I had to put 500 right into it to replace an o2 sensor and mine has minor body defects. The KBB for a 2006 coupe with 40k miles from a private seller says 16,9 for excellent, 16,1 for good and 14,7 for fair. Sounds like there's some problems with it if hes selling for 15k. If they're minor things that don't cost a bunch to fix, then go for it.

Not sure. Only time I got a warranty is when I bought my first car from a dealer. You could try. not sure though.

Screw the extended warranty....I bought (got suckered in) when I bought my 03 Z (new). It did not keep me from getting T-boned by a distracted driver. If you have to buy it, make sure it is through Nissan and not through a 3rd party company.

^ +1 on this. Get an oil consumption test to make sure.
