Is a Roadster Realistic...based on where I live?
I live in Vancouver Canada which is beautiful in the summer but it rains 6-8 months some years. Do you guys think it is still worth it to buy a Roadster even though It will have to be top up for half or more of the year?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Some of the most popular locations for convertibles are the Scandinavian countries and Germany. When you live in a place with cold or rainy winters you treasure and enjoy the warm summer days more. Without much, if any snow, in the winter and beautiful warm summers, Vancouver is an ideal local for a roadster. There are several of us roadster owners from Vancouver on this forum, so you get to join our very prestigious club. Kind of like the cool kids lunch table back in school.
The Z roadster has a very snug top. In over 8 years of daily driving my top has never leaked a drop. Also a Z has a great heater and front and rear defroster, so there isn’t any real downside while you wait out the rainy weather. The trunk is small, but it carries a full week’s worth of groceries and libations. If you need to carry something really awkward like a piano, just put the top down and let it hang out a bit. You can’t carry a piano in a coupe!

IMO,at least ONE time in your life, you need to own a convertible.
In your particular area, this may not make sense as say owning one
where I live.Roadsters have great tops--weatherproof.If you want and
have the bucks,there are hardtops available.I had a Alfa spider(not a great
top),bought a hardtop for the winter. It was great and helped on the resale.
Another area to consider is heat/cold insolation.Unless you have a cabriolet
type/padded top,the isolation from the elements and sound is not as good as
a coupe.If you are into your sound system.the accoustics will suffer.Its a
challenge to get a good sound system when you drop the top.
Furthermore, don't forget about durability.A top must be maintained.
