35th anniversary Z, good buy?
Hey, I'm looking at a 2005 anniversary z I found down the road from my house while cruising through the local subaru dealer trying to find a brz..
It's Yellow, anniversary edition so brembos, leather, Navigation, 6spd everything.
27,000 miles.
No registered owners. was titled by the dealership when new as the owners vehicle so carfax shows no owners.
Asking 18k. Clean as hell, didnt see a scratch or dent on it.
seems very reasonable but theres not many 05's with that low of miles to compare with.
let me know what you think! considering picking it up wednesday.

If you like it,buy it.
Yellow would not be my first choice though.
On input you may get about price,in reality, depending what
area of the country you live,Z prices will vary greatly.
I've noted in your neck of the woods,WI,MN,prices are much higher for a
comparable Z in say,Atlanta.Anniversary Ed.---IMO,some guys put a greater value
on these that what they really are. They think they are gonna be a collector car
of sorts.Don't think so.Its a 05 Z.
18k is high even for your area.Great miles for sure.Unless you really care about
a uptick in hp,who cares if it has a HE engine vs a HR.
Since you were originally shopping for a BRZ,you may want to check out the
Hyundai Velo turbo.Maybe a better fit for you.Can geta loaded one for 25k.

I think that asking price is fair for the anniversary. It also has special leather seats - they are nice. If you like the yellow a lot, then I'd go for it.
I don't know how dealers get away with issuing a title on the vehicle without registering it (hence no carfax), but so be it. Remember, the car is still 7 years old, so I'd ask for some maintenance documentation. My buddy has an 05' anniversary, and he paid like $35k for it, so they weren't cheap.

Yeah, the carfax shows no owners but very regular maintenance. For everyone's knowledge my big hot button is that it seems to be a fairly rare vehicle. The price of the vehicle is not a big concern for me, as long as I don't lose my *** when I try to sell it when I get bored with it in a few months (like I am about to do with my 335i) yellow isn't the worlds greatest color but it will look damn nice with a set of black wheels on it.

You need to ask for an AUTOCHECK or acquire one yourself. Auctions here in FL have stopped using Crapfax due to a number of errors and loopholes such as what that dealership is trying to use on you.
Just some friendly advice

The only advice I want to give you is try to be patient. I know time is of the essence sometimes but I pulled the trigger on mine and ended up finding 2 others within a couple weeks time that would have made for a better investment.
In the end you can't go wrong, you are buying an amazing car!
