Default Would you buy a 2006 Ex Rental Z?

Hey there, I am about to see that Z
It's a 2006 Auto ( No Manual cause of the Oil Issue ) but has been rented for a year and a half ( 26K Miles )
Car looks clean and I really like the RedLine / Beige Leather contrast

Would you guys buy it?

And no, I wouldn't marry a prostitute but it's different here...

The previous owner put more than 80K miles on it so I would assume that there aren't any issues with it... And looks like maintenance has been done?

What do you guys think about it?

Thanks

no manual because of oil issue? why not get a different year? personally, i wouldn't get something with that high of mileage. if ~$12k is your budget.. you can find an 04, 05, with half the mileage for the same price.. and 6 speed

Well, I am looking at an 06 because of the redesigned interior and the Headlights and Tail ... Much, Much sexier !

And I am getting an Auto over manuals because I read that manuals break more often... True?

no. unless you drive them like a fukking retard. you'll regret getting an auto though, just like i did with my first z.

I would absolutely never buy a rental car of any sorts, especially a sports car. 9/10 most people beat the crap out of rental cars because they do not own them in the end. I personally have never rented one, but I have read/heard some horror stories about what people do.

The interior didn't change too much. You can always replace parts if need be. Most, but not all, pieces are interchangeable.

You can always buy (for reasonable prices) the upgraded head lights/tail lights from members on here or on ebay. That's what I did with my '03. Looks much sexier now.

What would you do if you went out and rented a sports car? I know i would do my best to keep revs above 5k, why else did i pay twice the amount that i would have for an econobox rental? I think you already know the answer to this one.

I wouldn't buy any sport car with automatic transmission specially the Z.

second thing buying a rental car for personal use is no good because most people do every thing with them except driving the right way!!

and most important I have 2006 with +100K miles and it is manual and yes it is consuming oil but not that much unless you want to buy a car and not planning to open the hood to do normal check up then that might be an issue for you.

just keep searching

A rental or,a lease? If it was more of a lease, the guy driving it
would have some liability to maintain the car...I'd think?
Depending on the price(is this great deal?),I'd get it checked
out my a good mechanic that is familiar with Z's.
Never,know...could be a good deal.
Personally,I would'nt buy it.

Hell no! But if I didn't have enough to afford a nice Z and wanted to save a chunk of change, still hell no!

I wouldn't go near a car that I rented! They gave me a new Charger in San Francisco last month with 004 miles on it. Never took it out of 2nd gear to se. I'd I could blow it up!

Never buy a rented car. You will regret it. When you take deliver you have to sign a paper acknowledging you know it was a rental.
