Hey guys, Just joined the forums, mainly because Im looking for my 1st 350.
I found this guy through a friend who was selling his. 04 clean tittle. 135k. The guy was about 19 or 20. and bought the car less than a year ago from an old guy that used it as a show car.
Here are all the mods done:

Now heres the thing. Before I even called him, the price was $8,500 obo and when i did talk to him with little convincing. the price went to $8,000.
So in order to make sure this guys not screwing me. we take it to my dads company's mechanic. They hoist it up n everything. and we find a few problems.
- Headlight seal is cracked - aftermarket front bumper (plati-dipped) - no fender wells - small tear in leather seat - quart low on oil - looked like the anti freeze was just pored - front tires have about 25% life - spoiler's wrap is peeling - And the most questionable part. There was oil SEEPING, not dripping or anything. just enough to stay wet. It was around the oil pan. and the mechanic said its either from the actual pan and there a crack or what have you. or its coming from somewhere else high in the engine bay. worst case scenario. head gasket seal![Frown](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
So at the end of the day i talked the seller down to $7,000 flat.
I need some opinions, to buy or not to buy????

My honest opinion, it looks to me like the kid bought it just to beat the **** out of it for a year. If he kept up with proper maintenance then it wouldn't be leaking oil nor would he have to hide a potential internal coolant/oil leak by putting fresh coolant in. If it runs good then that's your call, but a Z for 7 grand means that its seen way better days and is at the end of its road. Granted you could sell off some of them parts for stock and end up with only like 4 grand into the car. Just my 2 cents

One would think he would at least go through the effort of cleaning up the garbage in the interior and taking pictures in proper light to sell the car. That can indicate how well the owner takes care of his car possibly.
Is the oil pressure supposed to be that high?

I apologize. Forgot to mention that I took these pictures at night. he sent me just exterior pics.
*He races dirtbikes n claims that he made the mistake of buying the car and a truck. and said he was selling both to get a new truck.
But everyone has their stories
