Hey guys, im new to the forums and need some opinions so i figured id post here, im looking to buy my first car and ive always loved the 350z. I just dont know if this car is truly worth 13,000 dollars. I think its worth it but my father disagrees, would like opinions on why it is or isnt worth 13,000. thanks a lot

Not a terrible price considering the mileage but I would check the title. Usually with extensive/tacky body work comes a nice salvage title to go with it; in which case that car is far over-priced. Something else to consider, can you afford to replace 19"-20" tires? They aren't cheap.

Seriously? As a fellow kid with a Z as their first car, don't buy something like this. It's ugly as f*ck for one thing, its an Automatic = mega ghey, probably has no performance mods besides the noise maker of an intake.
Only way I would pay 13k is if it was 10k miles and he would rip off that stupid body kit and put it back to OEM. Or if it was making like 600whp, either one. Don't buy a car somebody else did all the stupid mods to. Find one done by somebody who cared about how it drove instead of how it looked. One that already has things like sways, coils, intake/exhaust, BBK, etc.

You're paying for the bodykit (which looks IMO pretty ugly) and the wheels, as one of the other guys comments 'its an auto' why oh why do people want auto sports cars, it totally defeats the object. if, and i don't mean to be condescending you've gotta have a Zed at your age 1) think yourself bloody lucky that this would be your first car 2) get something that has perhaps been lightly modded and 3) Get a stick, do as many track days as you can so you learn to drive it, have fun and get that surge of teen testosterone and angst on a track not public roads. Good luck with your search, seriously $18,000 for an 03 auto is a steal and you aren't doing the stealin'.

It's not worth 13K because he's asking "obo" and "needs to sell asap"; thats a 1K off the price right away. Add in the cost of replacing that front end and your at 11K-11.5K, offer low and see what he says. Be patient when buying your first car.

A car is a car, whether a sports car or not, transmission dont change nothing. All you manual guys act like you guys are michael schumachers long lost kids because you have a manual. Big wup, most of the Z owners ive met with manuals, cant even properly heel toe or drive for that matter. so its all driver preference and skill, either way it goes though OP dont buy that car you can find another one that is way better condition for the money.

But in all seriousness, noone's bashing people with automatics, just the fact that it seems when they jump into a car for it's pricing or bodykit details they overlook the transmission and end up wanting to do a switch out.

Mods always drop the value of a car, even stock with low miles it wouldn't be worth 13k, it would be more like 10-11k. With those mods I wouldn't pay more than 8.5k assuming it had a clean title.
If I were you I would find a stock one for cheaper.

Don't change nothin but it's incapacity for higher power engines and overall boring driving experience.

there are plenty of people on this forum with autos who are hitting high numbers. Driving Experience is up to the driver, When i drive my car it isnt boring, if it was, i would have bought something else. But yes you are right about people just seeing the car and not choosing what they want initially because of price. OP choose wisely for your first car, you will never see it again.

Getting off topic here but not at all, the vette is a manual so i dont have a bias or anything, they would probably get more sales if there was a auto option, but im glad they didnt because that car is for enthusiasts not soccer moms. a normal z though, unless being modded for the track can be auto.

I'm sure 99% of experienced auto trans drivers on this site could own me on a track.
