Default Which Z Would You Buy?

Hi All,

New to the forum and new to Z cars in general. Going to be picking up a new summer toy in a couple of weeks but i need some advice.
I have two cars I am looking at, and l'd figured this would be the best place to hopefully find the answers to help me make my decision.

The 2 cars I'm considering are 350Z roadsters. One is a 2005 with the Grand Touring package, the other a 2006 base.

Both have 6M, no Nav. Same mileage, same price. Both one owner vehicles.

If you had to choose between the two, which would you choose and why?

Kinda looking for a pro/cons of both to help me decide.

Thanks for the help

Assuming the 2005 isn't the anniversary edition (not sure the roadsters were annivs or not), It would be a hard choice. The 06 has better interior, slightly more powerful engine, better stock rims, and much better looking LED tail lights. Cons are the 06 engines are known to burn oil, but not always. If tracking is your thing then the 05 has those big brakes, but other than that you only miss out on heated/leather seats, cruise control, traction control, radio controls on the steering wheel, and (i think?) a LSD in the 06

So the 05 is probably the bigger bang for your buck, if it actually is a GT model (most of the time the seller is mistaken..).
If you find out if the 05 is the anniversary edition, take that one hands down.

If you plan on modding, '06. If not just get the Touring.

Thanks for the advice so far. Would love an 07+ but its a significant price increase over these two.

And sorry for the double thread. This one is in the buying section as well. I figured I would put it here as this section has more visitors, and actual Z owners for the years I listed.

Agreed with everyone who's posted before me. esp. about 06' and its engine. depends on what your plans would be.

2006 easily. Bigger brakes, true projector bi xenon hid head lamps, better front bumper, led tail lights, updated better interior..no brainer. Just make sure it isn't a oil consumption one.
