Default Buying a car for all year driving Canada

I am a huge fan of 350z and 370zs. I am looking at buying a 2007-2010. I want this car to be my daily driver all year and also have a little fun now and then. My only problem is I live BC Canada and it snows for about 4 months in the winter. Does anyone have experience driving a rwd 300+ Hp sports car in the winter? With good snow tires would it be normal?

If not should I buy one and buy a beater fwd car for the winter?

If rwd wont work in Canadian winter is there any 300hp AWD cars that I could buy to drive all year? Coupes preferably. Ive seen a sedan g37, bmw335xi and audi S5. Any thoughts?

I would like to keep my budget under 25k if possible. Any recommendations?

With that budget, I'd get a used evo x. It's not a coupe but its a nice car. I've never driven a car through snow so I'm not much help there.

I've never DD'd a RWD sports car in the snow. FWD, sure, but that's a whole different ballgame.

From what I've heard, the Z's do fairly well for what they are in the snow as long as you have a really good set of snow tires on them. That being said, I'd honestly stick with something all wheel drive if you want reliable snow performance and like the guy above said, with that budget, you can find quite a few nice AWD performance rides. STi's and Evo's would be the obvious choice, Audi has plenty of AWD stuff out there as well. I believe the G37 coupe can be had in AWD if I'm not mistaken.

A good set of winter tires and some common sense driving and you'll be fine. Doesn't your winter mostly consist of rain... LoL.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still on the fence. I really do love the look and power of 350/370s.

Also to sickboy, I don't live on the coast so no we get snow. I'm not in Vancouver where it just rains.

Buy a cheap 4x4. I bought a XJ for winter duty that needed a little work for under $2000. A buff, some bushings, new wheels and new fenderflares and I have a nice reliable winter beater that looks pretty tough.
