Here is an article from Australia concerning the future of the Z cars. Sounds very interesting.................

maybe this link will work...

http://www.motoring.com.au/news/2013...-scooped-38373

So basically the Z might have a 4 cyl turbo engine, specced about 308 HP at the crank...I would want more power of course and it is just a few years away from the new Rx7 scheduled release.

Can't wait, just don't want it to look like the BRZ/FRS in proportions.

Andre3000 wrote in the comments in the link...you know, the older andre who posts in the lounge and loves strippers. Apparently his next car is a 2014 370z or a vette.

As for the car, turbo 4 cyl with plans to flush out the v6 eventually. Go figure. Im sure it will look fantastic though!

Yet another new car that looks like it was drawn by an 8th grader in study hall.

Nissan got it right with the 350Z and G35 coupe no doubt, sexy body and lines that IMHO will make them classic. The 370Z and G37 coupe on the other hand just never seemed right to me.

We'll see what happens this next generation Z and G, but to me the new lead at Infiniti is a moron. All that time and money to brand the G and to drop it and rename it Q? Can't wait to see how they really come out looking.

When I see my 350z next to a 370z it looks ancient.. But I still love the body and curves. Something about driving the 350z is raw where the newer is more refined and quiet, too predictable.

I've heard talk about a deisel, a TT four cylinder, and a v6. I just hope they take a step in the right direction because I really want it to be my next car. But every z car in history has came with a v6.. I hope they keep the tradition going.

Might want to check your facts on that point.

No one quote me for fact. But the 240, 260,280, 280zx, 300, 350,and today's 370z all have v6's.. Well, the s30 chassis had inline 6's but.. I mean which one(s) didn't have 6 cylinders?

I checked the engine also 240, 260 and 280 had inline 6. I'm curious what was not a 6 cylinder.

As am I. I could be wrong.. Maybe he was calling me out on calling an inline 6 a "V"6? Who knows.

4 cylinder turbo? You take the 6 out and its no longer a Z. Seems their merging the Z and 240/Silvia together. Z body silvia power plant.

That is what I said to myself, and at least have the option of having a 6 cylinder turbo engine for the Z. Also since these are rumors, isn't the Z made to compete (performance wise) the the Mustang GT, Camaro, and not with the FRS/BRZ .

That b1tch is fugly. Looks like a space ship. Trying to hard. I think they need to take some clues from the FRS and do a retro design.

It wouldn't be a z if it has anything smaller than a 6 cylinder in it. I also don't see Nissan naming it a 400 plus z though.
